My 19 yr granddaughter and friend would like to do this while in Tortola. We would like to go with them but won’t do the zip line. For those of you that have done this excursion, do they return to same place they leave from and is there a place we could wait for them. I saw something about a balcony and was wondering if they had seating. Thanks for your responses.

I did this excursion in 2018 (so pre-COVID). You have to take a bus ride from the port to where the ziplining is, and I don't think they'd let you on unless you had registered for the excursion. There is a small shop/food area and balcony at the ziplining place itself (with some great views!) if you wanted to wait there. Not sure how the company would handle that, but there is an area you can wait (and yes, the actual ziplining goes out and comes back to the same place).

Thank you. I figured we would have to pay. I may try to call Disney and see if they have any answers. I wanted to ck with someone who would have first hand experience.

Just did this exact excursion last month...I had a reservation and because of my shoulder and back acting up I had to pass on the actual zip line. But since I had reserved it and didn't mind paying for it I went anyways and watched the family. Yes, they will depart and come back to the same place. I actually asked if there was a place to take a hike up and take pictures. I went up the road (take the right fork) and go up on a little hill on the left. You can see the zip lines and get pictures with the Fantasy in the background while they zipline. Pretty amazing pictures. Hope that helps. PM me if you have any other questions.

Thank you. Is there any place to sit while you wait? I like the idea of taking the hike and then taking pictures.

You won't be waiting too long. I took that little walk to take pictures of the family and when I got back they were done. I think they will spend 45 min at most zip lining? They have some tables and chairs in the main house, so you could sit I guess? The walk I took is dirt roads, so make sure to step carefully. The views were awesome. I only went about 400-500 yards up the road, which was a better place. Ask the guides where the best place to take pics, they were awesome.

Is there time to do this and another excursion or is this about it? 45 mins does not seem long at all but I
know there is transportation time up and back.

My answer would be it depends on which slot you got. When we went on it, there was a morning and an afternoon excursion for the zip. So I would say yes if you can make it work. We got back and had 4-5 hours until ship left....
Heck worst case scenario is you miss pirate night and take the 30 min ferry to St. Thomas and find a hotel room...lol

It's 45 minutes plus the safety briefing and getting fitted for the harnesses, plus the transportation up and back (which, when I did this excursion in 2018, included a couple of stops on the side of the road for some pictures).

We actually tried to book this in the morning and another excursion in the afternoon, and DCL told us no. Even though there was a gap between when this excursion ended and when the next one began, they said it was too close (in case the first excursion ran long). I can't recall, but they had a set amount of time that had to be between in order for them to let you book two.

So, you might be able to book this and another one, but it depends on the timing of both.
