Hi! Can anyone share their experience of the Tortola Baths excursion? Also, with Star Wars Day at Sea, will there still be pirate night?

We went on the Western Caribean cruise last Jan that had the SWDAS. We had the pirate night that included pirate games, the deck show, and fireworks. Also had fireworks on SWDAS. There was no pirate menu though.

We did it on our May Southern Caribbean cruise this year.
It was great for us, we walked right across the pier from the ship to board a boat that took us to Virgin Gorda, we then walked over to shuttle buses for the ride to the baths.
Once there our guide walked us to the first beach section, then after 30 minutes we walked thru the rocks and small cave areas to The Baths.
Its a trek but so worth it once you get to the baths. It was a little crowded but that didn't bother us at all. We swam in the baths for about 40 minutes and then headed back to the shuttle buses.

We did it in April. The first beach was nice, but my kids were bored. The lunch that was provided wasn't very good and it was a long way to go. The views were pretty but we didn't think it was worth the 45 minute ferry ride. I know that I'm in the minority here, but it was very expensive and only so-so.

We did the Tortola Baths on our honeymoon. Simply stated, the water and the beach is quite beautiful. It's quite a shlep to get there, but for just the two of us adults it was well worth it. We did this with DCL so there was little to no planning involved. A 45 minute ferry ride to the island and then a 15 minute walk to the actual baths. On top of that it takes some time to get through the baths to the beach area. For us that meant we simply relaxed on the beach and took in the sun for the remainder of the excursion. There were a lot of people there that were NOT from our cruise. Only a handful of the people from the cruise were on our excursion. I would do it again with adults. It really wasn't a child friendly experience as it was mostly traveling and relaxing on the beach with a bit of swimming in the water.

Consider doing it on your own, especially if it is a longer port day. Much cheaper and you can go at your own pace. We were on wait list for the DCL excursion on the 10-day Southern earlier this month but ended up doing it on our own we were very glad that we did. Caught the 7:45 Speedy's ferry ($50 per adult for ferry and taxi to the Baths, our 10-year old was free--compared to $80+ for each of the three of us for DCL excursion). Was able to go at our own pace--a DCL group was at the first beach when we were there and there was definitely a feeling from some folks that they were being herded and were not ready to move on. Once DCL group left, the beach was much less crowded for a while. We also were able to visit another beautiful, but rocky beach that the tour groups skip. We had a short port time (2:45 all aboard) so we made sure to catch the 11:30 ferry back - there was also a 12:40, but we wanted to be sure as the next one was not until 3pm. It was still worthwhile, but if you have a longer time in port, I think it would be a no-brainer to do it on your own.

We chose a boat tour from a private provider. It was shared with 2 other Families from our Cruise - 14 total people. What was nice is we did snorkeling and lunch before heading to the Baths. We were able to anchor off the beach and short swim to land. Then do the Baths tour with our guide from the boat during a far less crowded time of day.
