Found some reviews of the Bath excursion from 2014 on a Carnival review web page:
This excursion was worth the money. it was a truly amazing experience. I would recommend that you purchase water shoes because it does require hiking up and down trails. Once you get to the first beach you get a feeling for the size of the boulders that are along the shore. You will hike through the caves and some of the passages are narrow but easy to get through. The private beach on the other side of the caves is picture postcard beautiful. Don't miss this one.
This excursion ended up being my favorite from my Caribbean cruise. You take a short boat ride to the island followed by a motorcoach ride to the beach area. The path down to the beach is a little uneven so make sure you wear shoes you can walk in. There is a small bar/food stand on the beach you can get rum punch and snacks from. The water was clear and warm, the scenery was beautiful and the caves were fun to explore. I would definitely recommend taking this trip to Virgin Gorda.
Breath taking views! Plus, enough time is allotted to tourist to really enjoy the sights and get some pictures taken. The staff are so professional and accommodating to all people. One thing you should be cautious of is that going through the caves require extreme levels of physical fitness but you can opt out of it. Good rum punch!!!!
Traveling to Virgin Gorda and the Baths was a unique experience. We traveled with our teenage sons, 15 and 17, and it was a fun day for them to explore the caves and the unique rock formations at the baths. The water was beautiful. My husband and I were not in good enough physical shape to explore the caves but staying on the beach was ok as we really wanted our kids to have fun. They went off on their own and are still talking about it. I would caution families with younger children to make sure the adults in the group understand you really need to be in good shape to explore the caves. This is not your typical beach day as it is very rocky at the Baths so wear water shoes.
The ride out is a little rough and there really isn't a tour guide. Wear good shoes as you are walking down an uneven pathway. You can stay right at the bottom and enjoy the beach, swimming and snorkeling or you can continue and climb/crawl through caves (more than moderate level). The place is simply amazing though and worth it! Free and unlimited rum punch on the way back! Definitely worth doing! Don't forget your camera.
My hubby and I decided on this excursion at the last minute and boy are we glad that we did. This was my favorite place out of all the places we visited on our cruise. It was a bit more exercise than I was expecting, but completely doable. The rock features, the caves and the beautifuly clear water were so awesome. We were so pleased with our visit this wonderful place.
While Virgin Gorda and the Baths are truly a beautiful place, the trip to and from was less than desirable. Don't let them kid you, there is really no tour guide on this trip. I believe their only job was to make sure we didn't get left behind. While the path to beach isn't to bad, if you want to see the baths, you need to be ready to do some climbing and crawling in tight spaces. This part of the trip is more that a moderate activity level. This is a national park, so It can get a little crowded at times. But if you want to a very unique place, this trip is for you.
