So I find myself with some money to burn and would like to invest in a new camera; for some years, I had a Pentax DSLR, which was massively heavy but took lovely pix. Lately, I've been using the Lumix LX7, which gets great results, but is obviously somewhat limited.

Most of my photos are our Disney vacations.

I'd like something relatively small. I'm thinking micro 4/3 (either a Sony or Panasonic) but I'm hesitant because I don't want to have to spend an arm and a leg on lenses; I also like the convenience of a built-in lens, which I've sort of gotten used to.

I've been eyeballing the Canon Powershot G1 Mark II, which looks awfully impressive on paper and seems like it would do most of what I want: low light, vacation shots, some shallow depth of field for that always-pleasing "blurry" background ... (it also has a slightly longer lens than the other one I've been ogling, the Sony RX 100...)

Decisions, decisions. My budget is about $800.

???? Any thoughts? Bueller? Bueller? ????
