Right now we have the WL booked for 2 rooms under the 7/4 deal. HOWEVER, I keep going back to Poly and I am thinking about changing my reservations.

We have 2 children, 2 almost 3 yr old and 6 months.

Currently, we have a WL woodsview booked. If we upgraded to Poly it would cost about 400.00 more for a garden view room.

Which would you choose? I would love the option of the monorail and bigger rooms because on baby will be in a pack n play...

Is 400.00 worth the upgrade?

I am so torn... I love the theming at both resorts.. I just wish WL had the monorail and bigger rooms...

I prefer the Poly over the WL, and it's definitely worth the $400. The transportation is super easy to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot via the monorail. It's nice to be able to walk out on the beach to watch the fireworks every night. I also liked the restaurants at the Poly better than the restaurants at the WL.

Your almost three year old would also be able to sleep in the day bed in the room. You can even request a bed rail for him/her.

I'd say jump at the Poly while you have the 7 for 4 deal (who knows if you'll be able to get that again or not), and save the WL for another trip.

Hmmm- tough choices- both great theming, on the water and have good in resort dining.

I've not stayed at both and am a total WL fan after our visit in October- I'm hooked and headed back in Dec.

I pondered your question and thought about what I would do in your situation. As much as I really love the WL- I would pay for the upgrade and do the Poly if it was available. Initially, the $400 seemed like a huge upgrade but being there over seven days- it is only roughly $57 a day.

Reasons I would choose the Poly were based on the age of your little ones. I am assuming that you would want to take breaks (probably multiple) during the day and being on the monorail would make that a piece of cake- efficient and easy. Also the size of the rooms- it was just my DD (age 6) and I in our WL room and it was just right- it would be tight with a pack n'play, a busy 3 year old and any other people in your party.

If your stay were shorter, you could probably deal with the WL but since you are there for a full week- I think the scales tip in favor of the Poly. Basically, the ease of transportation and the spaciousness is worth an extra $57 in my opinion. I should also say I have a low tolerance level for frustrating situations- cramped quarters- and have a great appreciation for instantanious gratification (jumping on the monorail and home in a jiffy with two tired kids). LOL!! ;)

You have two great choices and will have a wonderful trip either resort you choose!!

While WL is my favorite, if you would like to try the Poly it would be easier for you to go back and forth from MK and EPCOT. So yes if you really want to try the Poly go for it. You will have a great Resort with either one.

I have to agree with the other posters. While it has been a little while for my family, I recall all the extra "stuff" required with an infant and two year old. (Boy, am I glad those days are gone although I do miss those wonderful ages at times!) I think you will greatly appreciate the larger room at the Poly since this is an option for you. Also, I feel the location is better with little ones. Go for it and enjoy! Make sure you visit the WL while you are there because it is definitely worth seeing. Then you can plan to try it out when your kids are just a little bit older!
Have fun!
