Torn between room decorations - opinions?

So I thought I get room decorations since it is the kids first cruise.

I'm torn between the Star Wars décor with the blanket and pillow or the Finding Dory decorations. Has anyone seen these in person or have a general opinion?

Thanks!

Did the Star Wars for our youngest last November and the pillow and blanket were used every night and he added a picture from the cruise into the frame that is now on his dresser (is a large frame as it holds an 8x10). Still uses the blanket every night (super soft and really warm - actually cat approved as one has taken to now sleeping with him on the blanket). The hanging decorations added a lot of flair when first opening the cabin door (we were in the double wide 8A) but had to take down b/c the first night to have him sleep.

The Finding Dory comes with blanket and pillow as well. I asked someone on here for pix, and it looked really nice, actually. Sherpa on one side with the graphic on the other.

We're getting the Finding Dory decor next month. In the past I have done the birthday one but the Finding Dory one seems even nicer. Someone posted pictures of it not too long ago.

How old are your kids? I may get the Star Wars one since they may not grow out of it soon.

Ours was almost 7 when we sailed. He was past his Nemo faze (think he intentionally avoids as he thinks himself grown up and beyond Nemo's Reef on the Dream class ships) and had little interest in Dory and was growing his Star Wars love having seen Episode VII and waiting for Rouge One to come out (and being for that sailing on the Dream with its new Star Wars area in the kids club just had it grow and fit into the room decorations). If was a few years younger or into Dory and not into Star Wars in a growing way, we may not have gone the Star Wars direction. A few years ago it would have been a Cars theme for him.

If your child is still young enough to be into Finding Dory, then I'd go with that, especially since it goes with the idea of cruising. At some point your child will "outgrow" the cartoons (maybe just for a season) and then Star Wars & the likes will be all they're interested in.

My kids are 1 & 2, so far from the star wars fandom.

My son is 15 and could care less but I think Finding Dory on an Alaskan cruise would be so cute!

We have a 7, 10 and 11 year old. I agree that the Dory Ones go with the sailing theme.

11 daughter is not into Star Wars, I think she'd like the Dory ones
10 year old is so easy going... he'd like both
7 year old loved Finding Dory

I'd get the Nautical one, but I like the idea of a blanket to use better than the beach towel.

We loved the Finding Dory blanket so much we got the Star Wars one on our next cruise so we each have our own now.20161022_134150.jpg 20170305_150247.jpg
I repurposed the Finding Dory ones as door magnets on the next cruise

Which is better just boils down to personal preference as the quality is the same IMHO

Um, doubtful? Most of the people I know who are die-hard Star Wars fans are my age (mid-40s). I don't think it's something people "grow out of".

That's why I said "They may not grow out of it soon." And I would recommend Star Wars instead of Finding Dory. :goodvibes

How do you add the little banner under your name for 'days until next cruise'?

If you click on the banner, it should take you to a link where you can do your own! :)
