I normally need time to recoup from out
Disney vacations so I would select the early flight even though its against my nature to
give up park time.
Indeed, this is it in a nutshell. The choice has been framed as choosing between the lesser of two evils.
We could, in essence, describe all our non-WDW days as days we gave up park time. I'm not saying we all have infinite vacation budgets, but I equally doubt any of us spends every dime of our discretionary funds at WDW.
Mind, too many times I've used what I call Disney math. More than once, we had a choice like:
a.) $600 airfare to FL on 2/14/16 (early Saturday departure)
b. ) Spend $400 for airfare to FL on 2/13/16 + $125 hotel 2/13-14/16 (late Friday departure)
If we can manage leaving 12 hours earlier, according to my Disney math, I SAVED $75 by ADDING 12 hours to our vacation!
The difference is often HOW we frame the choices in our mind.
Right now, I'm giving up potential park time!
