Torn about CRT

the concern. We've been three times for lunch in the last four years. This past time we discussed it being the last time for awhile because it is a bit expensive. On the way out of Disney (we drove) my wife mentioned she thought we should go back again next trip. Our daughter had had such a great time.

We'll see what our daughter wants when we get a little closer. No Disney this year as we're going to DC for vacation. (and a wedding and a high school reunion and a college reunion and Thanksgiving and Christmas and to see the in-laws and etc.)

Why does this have to be soooo difficult? I am a big Cinderella fan myself but I am trying to not have that cloud my judgement. DD will be turning 4 and we were thinking of doing this on her b'day for dinner. I just think maybe Akershaus instead. But we are only doing one day at epcot and that is the day we get in, so breakfast won't be needed or possible. likely afternoon arrival and no parkhoppers.
Anyway, subbing to see what you decide... maybe it will help me!!

Thanks for the advice. I think we should do it because I am not sure when we will be back. After this vacation, I am going on Dave Ramsey lock down to pay off all debt. It could be a couple of years.

I am going to try to have an open mind on this one. The difference in cost between breakfast & dinner for all 4 of us is about $27. I was planning on doing an pre-rope drop CP breakfast one day. I will have to do breakfast at one and dinner at the other. I just have to figure out which meal at CRT and which meal at CP.

lol, same here. We're celebrating our DD's birthday at DW. We'll be there from September 27-30 and she turns 4 on October 2nd. Akershus is a must, but as a compromise, we may go to CRT lunch. It's just a little more than breakfast but not quite as expensive as dinner. We're having her hair down at BBB in the castle so I want it to be a truly magical experience for her. The things we do for our kids...lol.

Are you sure it's only $27 between breakfast and dinner total for all of you? I thought breakfast was around $32 for adults and $50 something for dinner. I know lunch is just a little more than breakfast which is what we may decide to do.

According to my WDW Dining app on my Touch...

For Breakfast, adults are $42.40 and children are $28.70
Lunch adults $46.16, children $29.94
Dinner adults $52.35, children $32.43

Tax and gratuity included. So between breakfast and dinner it's $9.95 more per adult and $3.73 more per child.

When I just looked on the Disney reservation site for
B-fast they had $36.97 per adult and $24.97 per child BEFORE tax & grat Dinner- $44.97 per adult and $27.97 per child for dinner before tax & grat.

So they have dinner as $8 more per adult and $3 more per child before tax & gratuity is added in.

To me those breakfast prices are SICK!!! They are higher than most of the dinner buffets!!

I would go. We did dinner last year, and loved it. We had one of the last ADR's of the night. While we were waiting to be seated, Cinderella came over and sat with DD and talked to her till the very last family had arrived. I would say at least 5 minutes. DD was in heaven. Our food was good, we enjoyed the little show (which is no longer being done) and the dessert was to die for. We had an awesome waiter as well. We never felt rushed once. Now this isn't something we will do every trip. But I will like to try it again sometime with the actual princess greets.
We also did 1900 PF and Akershus last trip as well. We enjoyed them as well.

Maybe the late ADR would make a difference in the rushing thing I see so often in reviews.

LOVE CRT. We pay OOP rather than using credits for it. People recommend Akershus as an alternative, but I find the food there terrible. :confused3 To each his own...

We did the CRT lunch and it was a great experience. The princesses were wonderful and spent a lot time at each table. Our food was very good. We did dinner the year before and didn't have a great time but we would do lunch again. We have done Norway bkfst twice and both times weren't good. Too rushed, cold food and very very loud.

We eat here every trip for our Princess. It does seem like a waste of 2TS creidts but we are always on the DXDDP so it's no biggie for us. We have never had a "bad" meal there. I find the food to be good. The service is always good. A couple of times it was just down right FANTASTIC. So much so we've left $50 for a tip. On our last trip I did feel things came out to fast. But I understand it's a popular place and thye try to move people in and out. However I never let it affect our meal. We are in WDW eating in Cinderella's castle. We take it all in. Even though the food may come out fast I've never felt rushed my our server. I would go for it if it's in the budget. The character interaction is wonderful.

On another note. We did the Princess breakfast in Norway for the first and last time on our last trip. DH says it was the worst meal he'd ever had in WDW. There we felt rushed. We won't go back there. We'd rather spend 2TS on CRT then 1TS there.

We actually appreciate the fast pace. We always get 8:00 (ish) ADRs and have my little one who is not the best at sit down meals so we like that we sit down and our food is pretty much there already. :confused3 Gets us to Dumbo before the crowd.
