Hey guys! Torchwood; the Doctor Who Spin-off staring everyone's favorite Cap'n Jack (Not Johnny Depp but another John.. ;) ) has been finally confirmed for the 22nd of October. Hence why I took the Opportunity to start up the Torchwood Discussion Thread! :woohoo:  :cheer2: :dance3:

Once again, The Master (Me), Emporer Dalek (Andrew Derek UK), Leela (ArielJasmine) and of course you guys will be here week after week to talk about all things Torchwood (and maybe a little Doctor Who thrown in here or there) and will hopefully bring you guys lots of topics to discuss just like we did for Doctor Who Series 2.

Torchwood hopes to be far more adult than Doctor Who, with thrills, chills, scares and a nudey scene or two here or there. We can hopefully keep it clean on this thread, right guys... :)

I will hopefully try to find an episode guide again, in the meantime keep watching this thread for updates. In the meantime, you guys can have fun on the Torchwood Website. It has lots on it, including an small interview with Russell T Davies.

Hoping we can get as popular as we were last time! :goodvibes :cheer2:

The Master (Muhaha....)

I am so looking forward to it. I have been a Doctor Who fan since the very early days, even if I spent most of the time watching from behind the sofa.

To keep you guys busy have a guess who said the following (And what ep if your REALLY that into it.. :goodvibes )

"One day I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs, and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine."

(It's on my Signiture too.. :) )

Captain Jack's inclusion in this programme has definitely sparked the interest of the troops who all enjoy Dr Who :)

''Once again, The Master (Me), Emporer Dalek (Andrew_Derek_UK), Leela (ArielJasmine) and of course you guys will be here week after week to talk about all things Torchwood '' You must have been to Torchwood to read my mind!

Add, I understand after starting on BBC3, it will have a ''very quick'' repeat on BBC1, Captain jack might be in the last Doctor Who of Series 3, possible programme crossover?

One site posted it will be on BBC1 on Saturday nights post 9pm, maybe in the slot after Casualty? currently filled with repeats of Vicar of Dibley?

Did I see a Cyberman at the end of the trailer??? again a crossover form the last Doctor who at Torchwood, showing why they move from Canary Wharf to Cardiff? and Captain jack taking over from Dens wife? now a female Cyber?

Woo-hoo, Torchwood is almost here!! :cool1:

Thanks for starting up the thread, Master, and for name checking me!

I am totally excited about this, sounds like it is going to be great and pretty different to DW.

Love the quote, Master.

As far as I know it should be on BBC 3 past Watershead, so my guess is that it's on at 9.00. I haven't heard anything about it on BBC1 at all, but I think it's open to possibility; I know people without BBC Three who'd love to watch Torchwood.

Yup, that was a Cyberman (possibly Cyberwomen). I wonder myself how Cybers get into the Cardiff Torchwood; most likely from Canary Wharf's Torchwood. That then brings the question of how they got there...

I think that a Crossover would be so cool; I could just imagine the Doctor and Martha meeting Cap'n Jack and Gwen at the millenium centre in Cardiff.. :goodvibes

So it looks like repeats will be Wednesday nights on BBC2.

Thanks for the above Wickesy. Unfortunately, the idea of getting an episode guide fizzled out; most of it is hush hush at the moment and I haven't found anything on it..

This time, I'll have to let things be a surpise.. :)

Radio Times now confirms BBC2 as the repeat, on Wednesday 25th at 9pm, not BBC1 on Saturdays as I had read.

CARE SPOLERS, this is from another site............

EPISODE 5: 'Small Worlds' by Peter J. Hammond

EPISODE 6: 'Countrycide' by Chris Chibnall

EPISODE 9: 'Invisible Eugene' by Jacquetta May
A hit-and-run victim, Eugene, was a bit of a nobody, and always convinced that aliens were coming to Earth, specifically to retrieve technology in his possession. Now Gwen finds herself drawn into his world and realises Eugene may still be helping her locate the 'aliens' - despite him being dead.

EPISODE 10: 'Combat' by Noel Clarke
The team discovers a ring who are kidnapping Weevils - wild alien creatures that have come through the Rift and are hiding on Earth - which leads Owen down a dark path to confront the future of his own existence.

EPISODE 11: 'Out of Time' by Cath Tregenna
A small passenger plane from the 1950's flies through the rift and lands in Cardiff 2006. Torchwood is drawn into strong personal relationships as they help the three temporal immigrants adapt to contemporary life.

EPISODE 12: 'Captain Jack Harkness' by Cath Tregenna
Transported back to the Blitz, Jack and Tosh find themselves facing a dark secret from Jack's past, one he hoped and believed had been buried for good.

EPISODE 13: 'Apocalypse' by Chris Chibnall
The Rift is violently fracturing further, and Jack realises that Torchwood is destined to be drawn into one vast battle that will leave nothing and no one at Torchwood unchanged...

Thanks Emporer Dalek; I was struggling to find an episode guide on the internet.. :)

Great Torchwood spread in the Radio times this week, including a picture of inside Torchwoods HQ under the fountain in Cardiff, part of it has an underground station that linked London Cardiff and Glasgow for Torchwood in the past, and also in a jar is Doctor Whos Hand, cut off last Christmas.

They have weapons Cyber guns etc, to use to fight aliens, and they can go up to ground level on a stone lift, and no one can see them until they step off it!

Notice anything about EPISODE 13: 'Apocalypse'
A Rift is violently fracturing further,
Jack realises that Torchwood is destined to be drawn into one vast ''battle'' that will leave nothing and no one at Torchwood unchanged...

Recent Doctor who Episode 13 Cybers and Daleks coming out of a rift to do battle with Torchwood in the middle and it left nothing unchanged!

Pararell worlds and also Episodes??? Then jack is in the last of next years DW?

Does this mean Jack has to call the Doctor to help him???
