Torchwood (BBCA)

BBC America told ComicMix's Mike Raub that Torchwood has been picked up for a fourth season. No word on when it will air or the number of episodes. This follows the highly succesful UK broadcast of Children Of Earth.

(Not subscribing to this thread.... our Torchwood BDs just shipped... we'll be watching them early next week (unless they arrive tomorrow.)

There will be a season 4!

Not so great news-

It's going to air on Starz.

According to The Hollywood Reporter the focus of the show will be more focused on North America. The 10-episodes will be serialized (maybe a complete 10-episode arc?), since Davies says there will be "a most remarkable conclusion after 10 episodes." Eve Myles (Gwen) and John Barrowman(Jack) will return, key U.S. actors will join the cast.
(Well, honestly, aren't Gwen & Jack the only two LEFT? Didn't Davies kill off practically EVERYbody else in Children of Earth?!?...except maybe Rhys.)

Starz currently has a deal where their programming is available for streaming through Netflix, if that is an option for you. Hopefully, they will still have it when Torchwood airs (the major studios hate the deal, and want Starz to drop it in order to make deals with them).
