anyone have one? how is it working for you?

mine is ok, I guess, no tomatoes yet, they are there but green and small.

my tomato plant in the container is good though, looks way healthier than the one in the topsy turvey.

My mom had one last year. Her plant kept trying to grow up and never got very big. I wasn't too impressed.

My plant is huge and has a few blooms but no tomatoes yet. I have a feeling it's going to be all plant and no fruit.

We had TTs last year and this year ditched them for just a 5-gallon bucket with a hole drilled in the bottom and hung up. The bucket is working MUCH better. With the TT you have to water it e-v-e-r-y day and sometimes twice a day if it's really hot.because the plastic container is so thin the water just evaporates. Another trick you can try is to plant some herbs in the top of the TT to help retain moisture but seriusly, a bucket or even a 2-liter bottle will work better.

I had nothing last year. Like someone else said you have to water it sometimes 2-3 times a day and the water runs out the bottom hole so you just keep adding water. I had it on the porch last year and the floor got soaked daily.
this year I tried again. I have it on a shepards pole in the backyard and so far it is doing great. I have 4 little tomatoes already and about 15 flowers.
My SIL planted one plant in her topsy turvy and the same size and brand of tomatoe in a bucket. she already had 2 tomatoes off the bucket plant and is just getting flowers on the topsy turvy plant.
I am gong to ditch it for next year but I can't transplant my tomatoe now without losing alot of tomatoes.

My Dad is using one, had quite a few blooms and has several green tomatoes already. It does grow "up" toward the light, but seems ok.

But to compare, he made his own upside-down contraption from a 5-gal bucket, cutting holes in the lower sides for the plants. And those are doing MUCH better than the Topsy-Turvey from the store. Had 3 ripe tomatoes so far from those plants. :thumbsup2

He has decided that next year he will just plant tomatoes in the buckets and set them in the sun, without hanging. :upsidedow Said he's old and tired of digging up the yard for any more of a garden.

My plant is growing like crazy and looks very healthy but the tomatoes are not as big and sweet as the tomatoes in a pot on the ground. They are in the same soil and are both fed miracle grow. I can't remember if they are two different types of cherry tomato or not though.
