Topolino's Terrace Worth It?

I have to book ADRs on Sunday and am trying to finalize our dining plans. I really wanted to do Topolino's Terrace breakfast on our last day, but I'm not sure if it will be worth the cost now that they've taken the extra side option away. I feel like $45 is so steep for a couple of mini pastries and a quiche or a waffle. What do you who have been there think? Is it actually worth it if I can snag a reservation?

It's a great breakfast and, as far as portion size, they're huge. Character interaction is great. If you decide to go, I hope your experience is as good, or better, than ours was. We really enjoyed it!

We got the plant based items and were still hungry at the end of the meal. Chef was incorrect about allergens, too. It was a one and done for us. Characters were rushed. Daisy came, waved, and left. Donald was sassy though and that was fun.

Agree. I also feel it's best Character Meal on property if you value quality over quantity. There's plenty of food with the pastries which they will refill if you wish and your selection on breakfast entrée. Character interaction is if not the best on property close to it. All of this taking place inside of a beautiful dining room with spectacular views.

That said if you put a premium on all you care to eat platters this won't be the best selection for you.

I was hesitant to return after the change, but we went in May and it was just as good as always, and I still felt like I got my money's worth. Our waiter told us they made some changes to entrees, so portion sizes would be a little larger, or an extra side was added. My steak came with an extra side with potatoes and my mom's waffle was definitely a larger portion. Also got a refill of the amazing apple cinnamon muffins. We left stuffed and had an amazing meal, and will definitely be back.

We haven't gone since they changed the rules, but just made an ADR for September. Given our previous experiences, I still think it'll be worth the price.

We were there this summer and really enjoyed it. Plenty of food for us, though I did get the steak/eggs and the rest of my family are not huge eaters. We don't like buffets, so large volumes of food isn't important. However, none of us went away hungry. Food was excellent, views were fantastic, fun interactions with characters. We had a great time!

With everyone mostly saying how it's still a great option, I decided to keep with my original plan to book Topolino's. I ended up snagging a reservation when our window opened at 5am! There were quite a few spots available which really surprised me. I also was able to book our traditional first night's dinner at 'Ohana which I've never been able to get at window opening. There were several open reservations there too. I've always had to use touring plans reservation finder to get an ADR there. I'm really hoping this means less crowds while we're there this time! 😂

I don’t understand people saying that they won’t go because it’s not for the extra side. Both myself and my husband thought there was plenty of food. We brought my brother & his wife one trip and they thought it was plenty as well. IMO, it’s the best character meal on property. The food is way better than buffets at Chef Mickeys, cape May cafe, and Tusker House. I would definitely go again.

Pretty much our earlier-in-July experience too!

We had a not great experience there in April. Besides missing the ability to order more than one item, which I knew going into it, the character interaction was just poor. Donald came to our table right as we were seated, and then our entire meal passed with no other characters stopping by our table by the time the server was ready to drop the bill. Our server talked to a character handler (?) who took us to a spot that sort of seemed like a server stand and rushed over the characters to see us. It was awkward, the the CM was harsh with us, rushing us along. We had a wonderful experience there in 2021 but this won't be in our rotation again for a while.

I guess to give one persons perspective is I’m very active, big guy (former high level weightlifter). I can assure you going there without refills would be no where near enough food for me. While I don’t mind that for meals it 100% is in the equation when debating whether to go there when could go Tusker house or other character meals as ayce for same price.

So we just got back from our trip yesterday and we did end up going to Topolino's for breakfast. I definitely wanted to update this post and say it was well worth it!! The characters were fantastic and engaging, food was absolutely delicious and our server was great! I was initially worried about portion sizes since they stopped allowing a second entree, but we all left absolutely stuffed. They do allow for an additional side of eggs, bacon or sausage and offered to refill our pastries, but we didn't get more because we were so full. So, if you're worried about not getting your money's worth please don't be! It was a great experience and we will definitely go again!
