Could we make an 8:00 reservation for breakfast at Topolno's Terrace and still make it to HS early enough to make it before rope drop? We are staying at YC. What would be the fastest route to take to get there?

Exactly. A 10am open with a 7:30am reservation should be no problem. A 9am open, almost certainly not possible. Remember, "rope drop" is happening roughly 30-45 minutes before park open.
