Topolino’s Question

This morning the 60 day window opened for our first night and we scored my top priority Topolino’s at 8:35pm. Hurray!

We were originally planning on doing this later in the week for breakfast but plans have changed. The only downside to this is the menu is very limited for my wife. She’ll be fine with a steak, but my question is about the grilled chicken listed on the kids menu. Would she be able to order this if she desired? Is this poor taste?

Thanks in advance!

They won't serve a child's sized portion, but they can make you an adult's size portion and charge adult sized prices. That's generally the rule for table service restaurants.

Cost isn’t so much an issue, it’s more that there is no grilled chicken dish on the primary menu.

There is a chicken pasta. We ate here in December and just between you and I, I would much rather have Toledo open and Toppolino's closed, but I am not making the decision. Perhaps Toledo will open before we go in December which would give us a reason to go back. Well, I might go back anyway because I love Bar Riva.

Pretty much any of the restaurants on property (Disney-owned) will gladly serve a kids’ meal to anyone, of any age. The only exceptions are prix fixe/ AYCTE locations. Are you perhaps thinking back to when the dining plan caused issues at times with having to serve “adult portions” of kids’ meals in order to be able to use an adult dining credit :)?

OP, I have not heard of anyone not on the DDP being turned down when ordering a kids’ meal anywhere on-site. It’s incredibly common for adults to order them as the portions are more reasonable when compared with the adult portions.

This has been our experience.
Enjoy, we dined there our last trip. With a few more trips, it may make its way into our top 5 favorite WDW restaurants.
Just a great experience all around.

Also, keep in mind that 60 days is a long time for Signature restaurants. Menus, particularly at Signatures, will start reflect the change in seasons starting around that time. Just because something isn't on the menu now, doesn't mean it won't be then and just because something is on the menu now doesn't mean it will be. It's not worth stressing on who will eat what now. You got a very sought after ADR. Savor this victory and worry about the menu that day (and take comfort knowing anyone can order anything from the menu regardless of age).
