Has anyone ever had any success with topiaries? As I live in Canada, I'm not able to buy the pre-made ones from WDW. I saw a wire 2D Mickey at a store once and decided to try to make my own. My dad fashioned the wire into Mickey's head. I've tried to train ivy to grow around it but I don't think the Mickey head is big enough. I must admit, I really don't know what I'm doing. I'm just experimenting with a couple of dollars of wire and a cheap ivy plant!

Welcome, TaraBelle! :flower3:

It's so nice to see another Canuck DISer in the garden! :)

Would you like to try another Mickey topiary? I found a very old thread on the board full of info on how to make and grow them, including how they do it at WDW. It also has a link (thanks to Amid Chaos), to a topiary website. Have a look, and see if it inspires you to try again next year! :)

*I did see some Disney topiary forms at a garden centre this spring/summer. I think it was in Flamborough, but I can't remember the name of the place. :scratchin

Hmmm....I checked the link to make sure it works, and I got the following message...'Alert - p is not a registered protocal.' What the heck does that mean????? Maybe it's because the thread is 2 years old? :(

I'll see if it's possible to bump it up! ::yes::

Okay, that worked! :)

TaraBelle, see the thread titled 'Disney Topiaries"? That's the one I was trying to link too.

I think I need more coffee....
