Top Three Bottom of the Pit Restraunts

Me and my family have spent two trips and so far, we dislike the following the most.

1. Tony's Town Square
2. Whispering Canyon Cafe
3. ABC Commissary

I think the other posts on this thread pretty much explain why. :)

can i cast three stones @ MaMa Merose:rolleyes1

only place we encountered inedible food, complained to server & told the replacement would look just the same (congealed bowl of spaghetti for the kiddo)

While I have never left any Disney restaurant feeling like it was gross or terrible there are a couple we probably won't go back to because we just thought it was OK.

Chefs France - flavorless food but we did like seeing Remy.
Chef Mickey - Food just OK and the characters were so rushed, Crystal Palace was 100% better for a character buffet.

...

3. Citricos - pretentious and rude server that acted like we should be thankful for the chance to eat there. Will not return. Narcoosee's was better across the board.

I thought I was the only one with this experience. I should've gotten the name of the server so I could write in our experience. But I was too shocked at that moment that I didn't even think to do it.

So my bottom 3

Chef Mickey - yucky food
Citricos - Awful server
Mama Melrose - food was cold and eh tasting

honorable mention:
Any pizza on property I've tried so far... yech... Freschetta makes better pizza.

I would say hands down Sci-Fi Theatre. We ate dinner there and the food was horrible. The only thing that was good was the milk shake. But how can you mess that up?:lmao:

I plan on never returning to...

Le Cellier - I think this is, by far, the most overhyped restaurant on WDW property. I found the food to be just so-so, the service to be just "there," and the restaurant to be like a basement, in a bad way.

Nine Dragons - This restaurant is in a premier location in World Showcase. I have no idea why the food quality is so poor for a restaurant in such a prime spot. I also find this restaurant to be downright overpriced.

Biergarten - Maybe it's because I'm used to good German food coming from a large German family, but I just found the food at this restaurant to be disgusting. The buffet itself is WAYYY too small for a restaurant of this size. I found the service to be just "there" like at Le Cellier. The number one reason I will not return to this restaurant... The food. The food at this restaurant is awful; things that were supposed to be cold were warm, and things that were supposed to be hot were just warm. It seemed like the food had been sitting there forever.

Just my two cents...

Cosmic Rays - I thought it was really dirty, and resembled a Chuck E Cheese. Also my BBQ Chicken Sandwich was nasty, the bun was like cardboard. Icky!

The kids meal I had a POR was also gross, cold and yucky. The nuggets were like rubber. Everything else I ate there was good though

WOW!! I am canceling San Angel Inn. Way too many negative reviews ....:scared1:

Don't be too hasty! While most of us would never eat there again, that's not to say we aren't glad we tried it! I try to eat to live, not live to eat...the atmosphere at San Angel was worth at least one trip! :)

Tutto Italia. Was anxious to try it this past trip. Between trying Le Cellier or Tutto, gave up LC ressie for Tutto. Hated it. Thought the lasagna was lousy and the meat so fine, reminded me of taco bell meat, never found any cheese in the lasagna either. Son's spaghetti was tasty though. Kids meals... really? $9.50? Most disney kid meals come with appetizer and dessert. Nope. Additional $60 for the app and more for the dessert. Just wasn't impressed at all unfortunately.

Plaza - didn't see anything special about it at all.

Chef Mickey dinner - nothing great there.

and number 4 would be H&V dinner. didn't like the choices they had.

For me my bottom 3 places would be wow im sitting here straining to think of some place but I've only went to places I thought I'd like. I guess I did not really like Crystal palace dinner the food compared to other buffets all tasted okay, there was nothing wrong with it just nothing was great. I was trying to reflect on my counter service meals from last trip and I think we ate at pop for basically all of them and we loved the food at pop century. So all I have is Crystal Palace and it was not even so bad... I think my bottom 3 is the last few restaurants of a trip with Deluxe dining for 10 days they all seem to not be great as you are soooo satured with food.
Deluxe dining makes me miss college life with no food... noo tummy aches lol

There is a lot to be said for these reviews being subjective. our bottom 3 seem to be everyone else's top 3.

Boma - all the food had the same oddly spiced flavor

Coral Reef - the atmosphere was lovely, the food was just bland

Jiko - the service was awful, the food merely average, definitely not worth 2 TS credits

We like San Angel, WCC, and Ohana is a "must do" every year.

only 2 I'd put on the bottom of the pits...Boma dinner and Kouzzina. Boma dinner because everything was either totally killed with cinnamon. And Kouzzina because the food was over-salted, and service was attrocious.

Loved Boma Breakfast, though.

I'm glad to hear this. We also hated Boma dinner, but I was thinking about trying breakfast. It's good to know that the food doesn't have the same seasoning.

Aww Boma is one of our absolute favorites at Disney. To each his/her own.

Bottom three: Ohana dinner (see, to each his/her own), Hollywood & Vine, and Tomorrowland Noodle Cafe (where the Wishes Dessert Party is now held).

My top 3 of the bottom would be:

1. San Angel. I've eaten great Mexican food here in California and in Mexico and this stuff was just plain awful.

2. Whispering Canyon Cafe. Dried out food and the awful entertainment.

3. Yak n Yeti. Although I've read that they have removed the pho from the menu, the memory of how bad it was will stay with me for a long time.

What was wrong with the Pho?

I'm not canceling San Angel Inn...I have read the negative reviews too, but have also read positive things. Furthermore, I have 2 friends that have been there recently and loved it, and I know their taste and trust their opinions. And even furthermore, I like to go and judge for myself. I also live in NYC, where we do not have the greatest authentic Mexican food like you would find in the Southwest, so my opinions probably vary greatly from someone that is from California or Texas.

LoL I grew up in California and have now been living in Texas for 4 years. I have yet to be impressed by the Mexican food in Texas so even that can vary. We have San Angel booked for our upcoming trip. My mom requested it and I am kind of affraid we will be disappointed, but at least I can blame it on her ;)

I can only think of 1 that I do not plan to visit for a longgggg time and 1 I wouldn't go to based on food alone.

H&V just wasn't good. We went there for both breakfast and dinner on our first trip and was not very happy either time. For breakfast the food was the standard Disney buffet, but our waitress was pretty bad. There were 9 in our party and I am not sure if she just didn't want to work that hard or she knew she was getting her automatic tip but she would constantly skip over our table to the tables around us and we could not get a refill to save our life. We also were passed over by a couple of the characters. For dinner the food just wasn't good and the area was really messy and many of the stations where empty.

Sci Fi was fun for the kids to eat in the car and all, but none of us cared for the food. I had the ribs and they were really lacking in flavor.

Le Cellier - WAY over hyped. I hated the cheese soup - wasn't cheesy and didn't know it had onions in it and I hate onions. Steak was average, would have preferred Outback or Longhorn any day. Potatoes were very odd tasting.

Mama Melrose - Not "bad", but I've had much better Italian food. I don't think we were really impressed with anything we ordered.

Portobello - We went here on our honeymoon and it was amazing! I got the lasagna and it was out of this world. We can't remember what my husband ordered, but it was perfect too. Went back here last year and they had changed the menu. They got rid of everything good they had and made it more like a "create your own pasta" at any Italian restaurant. Even the bread wasn't as good. I'd go back here if they change the menu again.
