Top ten amusement parks in America 2021

All ears . Net says Disney was not voted #1 because ticket prices SeaWorld is half the price of Disney, open available entertainment and thrill rides

This list is just wacko!! Sea World? Sea World??? Nope.

And no Magic Mountain? :confused3

I’m shocked that Kings Island beat out its sister park, Cedar Point. Both are owned by the same company, Cedar Fair. I have friends who own passes to get into both parks. They go to Kings Island nearly every weekend. However, they look forward to their infrequent trips, five hours north, to Cedar Point.

Agree 100%! No way is Kings Island better than Cedar Point. The only thing that is better would be hotel accommodations as @Beach Bunny said. KI is just north of Cincinnati so you have plenty of great options, unlike Sandusky.

:offtopic:
@LadyBeBop, I am not a season pass holder (we typically go only twice a year and pay for FastLane) but I am still hesitant to go after all the fights that broke out over Memorial Day and the subsequent weekend. I believe it has calmed down, but I am so disappointed in KI's press releases about the issues. I feel their silence didn't serve them well. Have your friends said anything about KI stepping up law enforcement and security?

No six flags at all in this list but somehow 3 of 10 are Busch parks ( seaworld & Busch gardens)

All the disorder at KI makes me hesitate to go back. Now we had young people shooting at each other in Cincinnati at Smale Park.

I live in Cincy. I love this city, but like the chief of police said in a press conference - we need help from the community. Something is going awry with our youth turning to violence. 😢

What were the ‘nominated’ selections?

“We polled a panel of American family fun and amusement park experts on their favorite amusement park hotels, and now we need you to vote for your favorites from a pool of 20 nominees.”

The fix was in from the get go 🤣

I’d bet everything money exchanged hands somewhere.

No, I believe the results of the poll. It’s just a compilation of responses from people who bothered to answer and likely named their local or favorite park as #1.

These polls are as accurate as a broken calculator.
These polls are usually pushed by the parks themselves to improve their results. The marketing team of whichever park wins should get the pat on the back.

When we went to the Zoo, they gave us this paper with our tickets that said vote for us and one of those picture links to the usa today site.

Silver Dollar City, is amazing. The atmosphere is great! Employess and staff are always kind and helpful. Should be number 1 in my book

First there is definitely a difference between Amusement Parks and Theme Parks....at least a few decades ago. That line is more frequently being blurred but in general Amusement Parks are more about basic theming and big rides.

Sea World Orlando does have a lot of big coasters, but with the baggage of the past several years, I don't believe this list.

My guess is that the parks operating closest to “normal” probably got the most votes, which would explain the low Disney ratings. This isn’t exactly the best time to be comparing parks.

However, if it means more crowds go to KI than MK as a result, I am good with that.
