I’m shocked that Kings Island beat out its sister park, Cedar Point. Both are owned by the same company, Cedar Fair. I have friends who own passes to get into both parks. They go to Kings Island nearly every weekend. However, they look forward to their infrequent trips, five hours north, to Cedar Point.
No six flags at all in this list but somehow 3 of 10 are Busch parks ( seaworld & Busch gardens)This list is just wacko!!Sea World? Sea World??? Nope.
And no Magic Mountain?
Agree 100%! No way is Kings Island better than Cedar Point. The only thing that is better would be hotel accommodations as @Beach Bunny said. KI is just north of Cincinnati so you have plenty of great options, unlike Sandusky.
@LadyBeBop, I am not a season pass holder (we typically go only twice a year and pay for FastLane) but I am still hesitant to go after all the fights that broke out over Memorial Day and the subsequent weekend. I believe it has calmed down, but I am so disappointed in KI's press releases about the issues. I feel their silence didn't serve them well. Have your friends said anything about KI stepping up law enforcement and security?

All the disorder at KI makes me hesitate to go back. Now we had young people shooting at each other in Cincinnati at Smale Park. This list is just wacko!!Sea World? Sea World??? Nope.

Apparently bought by a private equity firm, them spun off as a publicly traded company, but with a lot of institutional investors.Who owns those parks now days? InBev?
This list is absurd. What was the criteria and how was the data amassed? Shortest lines and ease of finding a seat at an attraction?USA today poll voted...View attachment 587062

a panel of American family fun and amusement park experts
These polls are usually pushed by the parks themselves to improve their results. The marketing team of whichever park wins should get the pat on the back. No, I believe the results of the poll. It’s just a compilation of responses from people who bothered to answer and likely named their local or favorite park as #1.
These polls are as accurate as a broken calculator.
When we went to the Zoo, they gave us this paper with our tickets that said vote for us and one of those picture links to the usa today site. What were the ‘nominated’ selections?
“We polled a panel of American family fun and amusement park experts on their favorite amusement park hotels, and now we need you to vote for your favorites from a pool of 20 nominees.”
The fix was in from the get go
I’d bet everything money exchanged hands somewhere.
Congratulations to Branson and Missouri for obviously mass poll bombing this poll.
Of course no poll with the dump that is Silver Dollar City at #2 has any credibility.
Thanks for looking that up.Found the nominees. It took some research since the current version only has the top 10 and doesn’t have a list of all the nominees.

Disney was represented with 6 nominees. Some of the locations mentioned in this topic were nominated, including Magic Mountain.
Do I have the heart to tell her there are no cole slaw rookies there? No I don't think I do. Not my place to discourage her.Now I Definitely (and Defiantly) have to visit there, Onion Boy.![]()
