I'm wondering if anyone knows of a great place to watch the parade that is usually NOT crowded and you don't have to stake out your spot long before the parade?

Sleepy Hollow. It has the added benefit of only fitting people about 4 deep, so it's not so jam-packed.

We sat across from Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Park, not far from the bridge. Closer to the bridge. We watched the castle turn colors in the distance and while we waited we got ice cream from Sleepy Hollow.

Don't get too close to the bridge. The is a people crossing and latecomers attempt to squeeze in front of others.

Where exactly is "sleepy hollow"?

Thanks!

Coming from the central hub (with the statue of Walt and Mickey) you cross a bridge into Liberty Square. The bridge is called the Liberty Square bridge. Just over the bridge on your right is Sleepy Hollow. They serve ice cream and sweets.

We watched the parade from across the street, near a woman selling painted umbrellas.

The advantage of this spot is the wall behind us prevented anyone from bumping us and we had a great view of the castle.

It is to the left of the castle if heading up Main St. heading into Liberty Square.

Sleepy Hollow -

Also a great place to relax away from the hustle and bustle during the day. A limited menu, but just what the "Doctor" ordered for a "catch one's breath moment." Bob

We like to sit in front of Peco's Bills in Frontierland. We time it so we eat our meal before the parade and watch the crowd to see if spots are becoming a premium. It's worked well the last 3 trips and others I have told said the same. Have fun.

We sit in front of the Hat shop in Frontierland for both parades every year and it is a great spot.

Just came back from Disney. Sleepy Hollow (just as you cross the bridge) is a great place to watch SpectroMagic and to view the Castle change colors, BUT the huge trees there as well as the roofline of the building really blocked our view of the fireworks which was quite disappointing.

My favorite spot to watch Spectro is from the steps of the Diamond Horseshoe Revue, or whatever they call it now.

We've had luck a couple of times at the stocks in the middle of Liberty Square. It is a bit elevated so you can see over the heads in front of you, and you get a great view of all the floats as they come straight toward you, then turn down toward Splash Mountain.
