Now go see the movie so we can talk about it.

Yay for one month from today! :cheer2:

I love the picture, Connor. Great toys!

Remember this day when Connor becomes Andy and goes away to college.

I think Jill said we are going on Sunday when they come back through from KY. If not, Brooklynn and I will be going on Monday, since she is staying here for a few days next week. I cry at everything, so I can assure you I will cry.

Aw Jackie, I know I'll cry too. I'm so sappy, all the time. ;) I cannot believe it is finally here! We've been waiting forever!! We will go sometime this weekend and hope for low crowds.

Hooray for one month!! :)

That Connor is something else! And Ms. Chelsea too! LOL. I cannot wait to go see it. I'm taking Madi next weekend to see it in Imax 3-D and that's all she's talking about!

Jared and I went to see TS3 today too, and I'll admit it - I cried too - the ending was a killer!

There were a couple of adult references between Ken & Barbie that I could have done without, but overall I loved it!

I am interested to hear your take on that, too, Jackie - if you think Connor noticed the references and/or mentioned them.

I loved Conner's toys, especially the pinata! It's great to see it with his favorite posessions!

My 4 sons have all graduated college & left for their own homes, but I still come across some of their toys. :lovestruc

I love Connor's picture!

I'm so excited to see the movie! I've been collecing codes from cereal boxes for several months, which scored me 3 free tickets....but everyone is busy and I can't go any where for 2 more weeks so no Toy Story for me untill July 3....

Great group of Friends Connor :thumbsup2 Nathan liked that picture...I will have to post pictures of his TS tribute area in the basement....

we see it tomorrow...I will for sure pack tissues :upsidedow

:cool1:1 month dance!:cool1: 8 days til I move back down there! I loved Connor's picture. My sister told me today that they are waiting for me to get there to see the movie. :thumbsup2 I'll be sure to wear waterproof eyeliner.

First off, one month from today, we will be headed to Disney World! Hurray! Hurray! party:

Our movie theater has stadium seating, and I like having the center of the back row. I had it all planned out in my head when we needed to leave in order to get our tickets and popcorn and score the back row.

However, I did not factor in Chelsea. The girl had us running ten minutes late because she had to put on all her make-up including eyeliner.

For a movie.

That we watch in the dark.

Where the average age of the viewers was five, maybe six.

Sigh.

Well, needless to say because of the eyeliner, we did not score the center of the back row, but the second row down on the right hand side. Oh well, it was still a good view.

I won't spoil any of the movie for you since I know many of you will be seeing it, but I will say this, if you are an emotional sap like Chelsea and I are, make sure you grab extra napkins from the concession stand. There are a couple of scenes that had us bawling like babies -- Chelsea even blurted out at one point, "My make-up is getting ruined!" LOL! I don't know if it is because my kids are growing up too fast for me or because Pixar knows how to tap into our emotions, but I was pretty teary-eyed -- even afterwards when I was trying to tell Charles about it. Connor even admitted to crying during one of the scenes.

Anyway, it is a wonderful movie. Laugh out loud funny, terribly clever, and poignant, and definitely a worthy ending to the trilogy! I can't wait to hear what everyone else thinks about it when they see it!

When we got home, Connor went to his room and found all of his Toy Story toys. Outside his room on the hall table he made a little grouping of everyone, including to use his words, "Some new friends." Then, he found my camera, took a picture, and asked if I would post it on the DIS.

Now go see the movie so we can talk about it.

Is it terrible that I start crying just reading that I will be crying?

Love the picture of the toys and "new friends" especially the pinata. :rotfl2:
Glad to see they are all so loved.

I will be a basket case starting to cry again right now since my DS loved Toy Story and grew up with it. He is 16 now and for the most part past the toy phase and on his way to being a grown up. :sad1:

Awww!!! I love his toy collection!!! That is amazing :goodvibes

We LOVED LOVED it!!! We all felt that it was SO well done. My hubby even shed a tear a few times. First good movie we have seen in a while!

I'm so jealous you were able to see Toy Story 3 today!! I have no idea when Marc & I are going to be able to go together. :guilty:

One Month!! :yay::woohoo::yay:

Hooray for 1 month :cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Tissues for the movie tomorrow...got it! :thumbsup2 I would totally have gone today except Greg actually wants to come to a movie with us (not sure all 4 of us have ever gone together) and he was at basketball. Hopefully we'll get decent seats!

I'm so glad to hear you guys loved TS3 - it sounds like everyone did! I can't wait to see it!

And I love how the movie "motivated" Connor to gather his toys and take a picture :cloud9: That helps to slow down the growing up a little bit, doesn't it? :goodvibes

I now feel the need to go and gather all of our Toy Story toys and take a group shot just like Connor. Think anyone with notice if I go to the movies next weekend with my big Chosen One pillow?

We say Toy Story 3 tonight and loved it! I cried at a few parts too...I'm such a sap! Well, my DD is emotional like me and she cried too. I too thought that the ending was perfect. What a fabulous movie!

We are going to see it on Sunday, I think. I read on Facebook that it has some scary parts. Do you think it is okay for an almost 3 year old? He loves TS 1 and 2!

Love Connor's toy picture!

I think that's one of the reasons I cried as hard as I did -- I don't want to think about my sweet, imaginative children heading off to college and putting all their toys away. :(

Have fun seeing it, but do not forget the kleenex!

Hooray for one month!! :)

It was completely sold out for the show we went to see, but we got there early enough to get good seats. I always try to show up twenty minutes before a movie even if it means sitting and chatting while we wait.

That Connor is something else! And Ms. Chelsea too! LOL. I cannot wait to go see it. I'm taking Madi next weekend to see it in Imax 3-D and that's all she's talking about!

They are, that's for sure! Seeing it in IMAX would be amazing!

There was one part right before the ending -- during the climatic scene where I was absolutely sobbing.

You will have to PM me the references because I think I missed all of them except the "ascot" one.

I am interested to hear your take on that, too, Jackie - if you think Connor noticed the references and/or mentioned them.

After I read yours and Michelle's comments, I asked the kids at dinner if they noticed any adult references between Barbie and Ken. Chelsea played dumb -- well, she did mention the ascot one. Here's the conversation between Connor and me:

Connor: What do you mean about adult references?
Me: Well, did you notice anything that maybe little kids wouldn't pick up on or understand, but that grown-ups would get and laugh about?
Connor: Not really...do you mean like how some of Ken's clothes were from the 1970's?

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

So, no, he didn't pick up on anything.

I can't wait to see TS3!!!

Connor your toys are very cool!

You'll love it!

Connor had a lot of fun arranging them!

I loved Conner's toys, especially the pinata! It's great to see it with his favorite posessions!

My 4 sons have all graduated college & left for their own homes, but I still come across some of their toys. :lovestruc

The pinata is actually a newer acquisition for him -- when I cleaned out my closet a few weeks ago, I found it in a WDW bag from ages and ages ago. Apparently he comes by his love of pinatas honestly. :rotfl:

I have a feeling I will be finding his toys long after he leaves home. :lmao:

I love Connor's picture!

I'm so excited to see the movie! I've been collecing codes from cereal boxes for several months, which scored me 3 free tickets....but everyone is busy and I can't go any where for 2 more weeks so no Toy Story for me untill July 3....

I hope those two weeks go by quickly -- you will definitely enjoy the movie!

Great group of Friends Connor :thumbsup2 Nathan liked that picture...I will have to post pictures of his TS tribute area in the basement....

we see it tomorrow...I will for sure pack tissues :upsidedow

Yes, please post Nathan's tribute picture! Have fun at the movies tomorrow!

Wow! You'll be back down there before you know it! Do not forget the waterproof eyeliner -- Chelsea can attest how important that will be.
