Top Secret Pixie Dust! A Surprise 13th Birthday PTR! NEW! TRIP REPORT LINK PAGE 220!

We don't have that brand of ice cream here in Canada. Somehow I don't think it would make the journey across the border quite as well as some of the my other favorite grocery items I stock up on every trip like Cherry Coke and Cookie Crisp.

I think you should come back to your edible food list at the end of your TR and state whether you had it or not and if if met your expectations.

Hey Jackie! I am all caught up over here! All of your plans sound wonderful. I so wish that I could see that parade. It looks really cool. And all of your food plans sound fantastic too! That cupcake looks really good! I saw you had the school bread listed there. I would give that one an amen and a hallelujah! :worship: That was probably my favorite snack last year. I think it tastes like a cross of a doughnut and coconut cake. Can't wait to hear what you think. Looking forward to hearing more plans in the next few weeks. :)

Yum, your food pics are making me hungry! Some of my faves!

I can't believe your trip is one month away!

I got some of the ice cream on your recommendation and it is super yummy! Everyone loved it! Thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2

Wow, thanks for letting us know about the Toy Story ice cream. I will have to get some for Jeremy. He has watched Toy Story and Toy Story 2 non stop for the past week gearing up for this weekend!

We are looking forward to seeing the new Toy Story. I was kind of surprised to learn that they are doing midnight showings of it. I guess there are a lot of people anxious to see it!

:thumbsup2Your food selections look yummy! We have a lot of the same for our trip the first part of July.

Erika

I always worry about getting all my food wishes in!

Oh, that's too bad. :( I never thought about certain items not being available in Canada.

Oh, that's a good idea! I should do that!

Great idea! :thumbsup2

::yes::

Yum! Look at all of that good Disney food. Eating is a highlight each trip for me too. :)

I love it! Hopefully it won't be so hot that we don't feel like eating!

Hi, Rinky!!! Have things calmed down for you? Glad to see you back on the DIS! If the parade is anywhere near as wonderful as I remember it from my childhood, it will be great! I have heard such rave reviews of the school bread -- I can't wait to try it!

I love talking about food!

Friday will be the official one-month mark! It's slowly getting closer! :thumbsup2

You are so welcome! Glad everyone liked it! We had some again last night when we got back from the pool -- definitely the perfect summer treat!

Hi there! :wave2:

I am loving this PTR! Your kids are adorable and I just love LOVE your new Vera bag! So pretty!

I may have posted once before, but I can't remember. Your plans seems to be coming together nicely. I am excited to see how it all turns out for you guys.

I stayed up late last night reading, getting all caught up. I almost choked on my soda when I saw your son with his pinata.:rotfl:I don't know why, but that made me laugh so hard. It is just so random...kinda like this post.

Anyways...looking forward to more trip planning!popcorn::

It's been really hot here in Georgia lately! So hot that I am beginning to wonder how we will ever survive Disney in the middle of July! Throw in summer crowds, and I am really beginning to stress about this trip. I know it is going to be imperative to get to the parks early in the morning, take an afternoon break back at the resort, and then, head back to the parks in the evenings for dinner and more park touring.

Here's where I need help! In order to maximize our morning park time and avoid the crowds as much as possible I need a plan of attack. I want to avoid criss-crossing the parks as much as possible, but I don't mind being the one to run for Fast Passes for attractions. I have looked at the touring plans in the Unofficial Guide, but I don't like them all that much -- there is a lot of running back and forth across the parks as a group, and they include some attractions that we just aren't interested in.

So, who wants to help me create our own touring plans? Here are my must-do attractions for each park, and the day we are going to be there.

Disney Hollywood Studios on the Sunday afternoon we arrive or Thursday:
Toy Story Mania (Will Fast Passes be gone by the time we get there on Sunday?)
Tower of Terror
Rock n' Roller Coaster
Star Tours
One Man's Dream
Lights! Motors! Action! (Maybe)
Great Movie Ride (Another Maybe)

Epcot: Monday and Possibly Thursday
Soarin'
Test Track
Mission: Space
Spaceship Earth
Captain EO
The Mexico Ride
Maelstrom
The Sum of All Thrills
Kim Possible

Animal Kingdom: Tuesday
Everest
Safari
Dinosaur
Kali River Rapids
Primeval Whirl (Maybe)

Magic Kingdom: Wednesday -- Possibly Sunday afternoon and Friday Morning -- This is the one giving me the most fits.
Pirates
Jungle Cruise
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain
Haunted Mansion
Hall of Presidents
Peter Pan
It's a Small World
Mad Tea Party
Mickey's Philharmagic
Space Mountain
Buzz Lightyear
TTA
Main Street Electrical Parade
Fireworks

Please help me figure out the best way to tackle all of these rides and avoid the crowds and heat! :goodvibes

I get the whole criss crossing thing I hate going back and forth!! I too will have to take some time and work through this!!! Something fun to do today WOOT!

:welcome: and thank you so much!

If I can just figure out our touring plans, I will be all set!

Connor is a hoot. That pinata is still one of his favorite things! Best $8 he has spent in a long time. :lmao:

Thank you so much, Jen! I knew I could count on my DIS buddies! :goodvibes Knowing my family, they will all be a big cranky mess if I make them walk back and forth across the parks -- especially Sir Complain-a-Lot (Charles).

LL's on the job!!! You are in good hands with the master planner!! :goodvibes

Tracy

I think LL should become a trip planner for sure! :goodvibes

Jackie, when you get to DHS, go straight to TSM... Get to rope drop early! We get there between 8 and 8:30. If you are in the front of the line or close to the front, go on the ride right away, then if you want, grab a FP when you get off. Or you can head straight to TOT and R&RC, maybe go on right away if the lines are not long or FP them.

With Epcot, go to Soarin first and get your FP either before you go on or just go on if the line is not long. If you get there for rope drop, you should be able to go on with no wait. Then head over to Test Track and either go on, or grab a FP. You really may not have to wait in long lines that early in the morning. We didn't have to 2 weeks ago, but then again, I do not know how the crowds are July.

In the MK, head to SM first... people run to that ride first for some reason. Then head over to Splash Mountain and grab a FP. You should be able to get on Pirates, and the HM right away. You may want to FP the Jungle Cruise, too. Oh and Peter Pan. You should be able to get on the Tea cups right away in the morning.

In the AK, head to EE first. After that, FP the Safari.

I really think you will be fine. Utilize EMH and get to the parks butt early.

I hope the parks are not that crowded for you and I hope I helped a little. OOh and for the parades, people were lining up like 2 hrs before the parade started. I was in my spot an hour and 15 mins before. OOh and for the fireworks, the CMs make a walk way in the middle of Main st... stand right next to that walk way in the middle of the st, and you will have a great view becuase nobody will be able to stand on the side of you if you are on the end.

Ok since the stinkin SW site is down and I can't book my airfare and I'm not going to sit on the phone for over 30 + minutes to be told they can't book my flights...let's plan CP's Epcot day OK?

be back w/ the details:

I'll take a look see too, and let you know......let me check with Tom the FP MASTER to see if he has any tips!!!! :)

I do remember that stampede to TSM only too well!

I am so hoping that people sleep in on their vacations this year!

Space Mountain was closed last summer, so Chelsea and Charles will be champing at the bit to ride it!

In the AK, head to EE first. After that, FP the Safari.

That's kind of what I was thinking, too! :thumbsup2

Butt early is going to be our motto for the trip! :rotfl:

Yes, you did, Lynn! Thank you!

Yes, please! You know when I wrote that bit about not minding heading off for Fastpasses, I thought of Tom and his magic ways!

do you have more than one day at MK?

I would suggest tackling part in the a.m. and then grab fp's before you leave the park for later in the evening...

I would probably hit SM, Buzz and anything else you want to do in that area, then head over to adventure land and grab a fp for BTMR or Splash Mountain then do pirates and jungle crusie while you wait for your fp time.

Or watch Mickey's Philharmagic while you wait...it's air conditioned.:thumbsup2

OK your list:

Soarin
TT
MS
SSE
Captian EO
Gran Fiesta BR in Mexico
Malestrom in Norway
Sum of all Thrills
KPM

the PLAN:

arrive before RD say 8:45 am at the latest
go thru security and hang out till let in "I Spy w/ my little eye something grey..."
once in, send a runner to the Land and grab FP's for Soarin my est return time btwn 10-11 am
rest can start heading over to Mission Space but first those waiting could check out Scrappie's LAL tiles ;)
ride Mission Space do you do orange  or green?
then hit TT
next go use the Soarin FP's
grab a snack from Sunshine Seasons to go...
up next catch the next showing of Captain EO at the Imag. pav (may have to adjust as needed based on showtimes)
Now it should be time to head into WS and have an early lunch...is it too early for the Pomegranate Kir or Grey Goose Slushie in France? :rotfl:
as you head in, "grab" a time for your KPM-I think you can request a specific country
I'd take the Friendship shuttle across toward Morocco and then wind your way back toward Mexico.
On your World Tour do your KPM (think you can check in early too)
Malestrom in Norway and grab a yummy treat from the bakery too
Gran Fiesta Boat Ride in Mexico
now head back into FW

make a stop in Mouse Gear for a little afternoon shopping ?

go to Innoventions East and do Sum of all Thrills
and SSE on the way out
have dinner at your resort or ??? and go swimming!

If you want to split it up into 2 days or put in a mid day swim/break I'd break right after Soarin and come back and finish or do the WS things a diff day...just arrive say 10:30 ish am and head straight over to await entry into WS.

Hope this helps...

J~
