Top Secret Pixie Dust! A Surprise 13th Birthday PTR! NEW! TRIP REPORT LINK PAGE 220!

:rotfl: that's hilarious that you just spoke those words a few days ago!! We must use "insider" this to your advantage. Perhaps an excellent view at the GF, free Mickey Bars for birthday girls and their Moms...:scratchin ;)

I saw this linked on another TR and got very excited for all you summer trip people! And a special fireworks show too!!! I can't wait to see the pictures and reviews of it all!

I had the opposite thoughts when I heard the news about the parades.

My kids (okay it's really mostly the oldest but you know how they influence the younger ones sometimes) hate the crowds of parades. They are too nice and let people squish their way into their spots. Who would have ever thought I would complain my kids are too nice? So we usually just leave and consequently the kids don't like parades now.

But I had been trying to convince them we could try them again this summer. Plus they are taller so they could see past strollers or little people. I had hope we could watch spectro. I've been looking forward to see Ariel's float all lite up.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to keep going back to WDW until they bring Spectro back again.

When I saw that announcement, I was a little jealous it won't begin until after my May trip but how exciting for you to get to see it!!! :cool1:

I smile every time I think about it!

I love the Princess Diana exhibit!! How long will those things be displayed? I sure would like to go see it. I read one time that people (probably not people in the UK) always really liked Diana because she seemed like a regular person, but in fact her blood was as blue as Charles'. The fact that they had Spencer family jewels on display really attests to that fact!

She did seem like such a regular person, but when I was reading about her family tree, she was definitely a blue blood. The pictures of her family estate were incredible! I also hadn't realized she was directly related to Georgiana, the Duchess of Devonshire.

That tiara is incredible. It's one thing to see them in a picture, but quite another to see those diamonds up close!

It was beautiful!

I love your souvenirs! I would really have to stick my pinky in the air when drinking from that mug! :cutie:

I told Chelsea she shouldn't use it to actually drink anything from it. :rotfl:

I've never heard of that prarade, but it looks cool. Glad you will get to see it and can't wait for your pictures!

It was the parade I grew up with -- I don't know what years it actually ran at Disney World, but everytime we went when I was growing up, that was the one we saw.

i was so excited when i saw that on the blog yesterday! i do vaguely remember it from our trips when i was a kid. the only problem.....there is NO WAY i'll get to see it this summer. so i will have to live vicariously through you and my other disfriends who are going this summer. i expect lots of pictures!!! ;) i'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be insanely popular and that they will extend it for a couple of years so that i can see it. i think they should end up alternating nights between this and spectromagic. that way everyone's happy!

i'm also curious about the other nighttime additions, especially the tower of terror stuff. i bet that will be AWESOME!

I will take LOTS of pictures to share!!! I am excited to see what the other offerings are going to be. We may be spending more time in the parks at night than I originally thought.

Yep, Pete's Dragon was there as well! :thumbsup2

Hurray!!! :woohoo:

Great updates!! I really want to see the Diana exhibit. It looks wonderful. I am always fascinated by jewels. I have been absent for a few days. My life has taken over my disboards time. I really want to see the MSEP, but I am leaving before June. We are thinking about getting APs with our GAD vouchers so maybe I can sneak a quick summer trip in.

An AP would make justifying another trip much easier. ;)

The Diana exhibit pics were wonderful! I was also obsessed with her as a little girl. To me, she was the epitome of grace and beauty, and everything I wanted to be when I grew up.

I'm super excited about the Electrical Parade! I wonder how early is "early June"...we will be there 5/29-6/5, and I would LOVE to see it!

Me too about Diana!!! She and Grace Kelly were my idols when I was growing up -- and Princess Leia.

Hopefully they will start running it while you are there so you can see it.

I would love for the kids to be able to see that!! :)

Maybe you should plan Landon's first visit for this summer. ;)

That is so awesome that you'll be able to share your childhood memories with your children and hubby! We don't have any kids, but hubby and I treasure sharing our childhood memories.

In my not-so-humble opinion, I truly think that is worth getting the parkhoppers for!

Park hoppers are looking more and more likely. :goodvibes

Well this just makes you want to go out and book a summer trip!! I would love to see this kind of stuff. I wonder how long the limited engagement is for the parade! I'm a huge Spectromagic fan but I would LOVE to see the Main Street Electrical Parade!!!!

I am wondering about how long it will run, too. Disney has been known to extend things when they are super popular. I am hoping they bring back the dessert party as well. I want to do that and watch the summer fireworks from it.

Wow, how exciting, and how wonderful to have a memory replayed for you to share with your kids! :goodvibes

I hope they like it as much as I used to!

I saw that too about the MSEP. I wonder when "Summer" ends. I would love to see it again. We have the cassette tape of the music floating around somewhere. I used to love to listen to it, and I could remember the cues for certain floats by the changes in the music. I like the music a lot better than Spectro (cheesy as the MSEP music is!).

I'm excited that you get to see it!

All that synthesizer music just screams early 1980s, doesn't it? :lmao: Love, love, love it!

I was looking at the Diana exhibit pics too. That sounds like it was a great Mommy/Daughter day. I didn't remember her dress fabric being so thick. For some reason I thought it was more lacy. Still, very beautiful. She was a very elegant lady.

As my mom pointed out, it was a good thing Diana was so tall because a smaller person wouldn't have been able to carry off that dress!

I read about that! I'm so excited that you get to see it this summer!

Thanks! I hope you are having a great time down there RIGHT now!

I don't know what you might have up your sleeve, but maybe you can somehow incorporate Chelsea's souvenir mug into her trip reveal? Possibly some type of hint for the GF Tea. :confused3

That would be super cute!

:(

I know it! :rotfl: I am thinking carefully about what I want to wish for next. Maybe a concierge level room with a view of the castle? :lmao:

It makes our trip a little bit more fun since there are going to be some new things to look forward to experiencing.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to keep going back to WDW until they bring Spectro back again.

My kids are the same way and really aren't big parade watchers. They like to be doing, doing, doing.

Oh, but Main Street Electrical Parade can be just as beautiful to see! It is very similar to Spectro so I definitely think you should try and give it a chance.

Well, Georgia finally got some snow yesterday. Of course, it is nowhere near what some other states have been experiencing, but it was probably a good two or three inches. Chelsea and Connor have been playing in it and have made snowmen and snow forts.

These pictures were taken about three hours after the snow started falling (around 4:00), and it kept snowing until around 10:00 last night.

The temperatures dropped overnight, so now we are stuck at home because the roads are too icy. I am sure the kids won't complain too much as they are sure to spend most of the day outside playing in the snow.

Even Mickey was able to enjoy the snow! ;)

I love it when the trees all have snow on them. So pretty!

i also love playing in the snow!! DH keeps suggesting that we go sledding and I have to keep reminding him that I'm 8 months pregnant and sledding is probably not the best choice of activities right now. :rolleyes1

glad you guys got some, too! i think we got about 6 inches. it was still snowing here when i went to bed but it must have stopped shortly after because it didn't look much different this morning. ray's outside taking pictures of it right now and i'm getting ready to finish up my coffee and join him!

Beautiful pictures! Love the Mickey in the snow! :goodvibes

I was so excited to see snow here since I missed the January snow. I think we got around 3.5 - 4 inches at my house. I was shocked we actually got that much.

So pretty! I live in Michigan and it's still snowy here! I just wish it would be spring already! I am so sick of the snow!

I saw Atlanta was getting hit with some snow last night on the news and thought of you!
Good thing that you got to your movie and home before it got slick, even with your little friend sitting next to you.....
Did you tell us what you saw?

Pretty snow pictures! Hope you and the kids enjoyed your snow day!
Did you make any yummy treats?

I love it that you thought to take Mickey's pic in the snow!

Enjoy it---and stay warm!

More snow for the freezer! We got more too. And it was just like yours.......... large fluffy flakes that looked beautiful on the trees. Enjoy it while it lasts. Ours is melting quickly this time.
