All my friends in Texas got covered. Our mtns got a few inches and we went and played in it on Thurs. I love when winter actually feels like winter. I love the tall tree pics!

i also love playing in the snow!! DH keeps suggesting that we go sledding and I have to keep reminding him that I'm 8 months pregnant and sledding is probably not the best choice of activities right now.

Seems like this might be a good day for one of CP's bake-a-thons.

We are supposed to get another inch or two in the middle of the night tonight. I am sure the kids will be excited about that since they were both a little bummed when the snow all melted yesterday.

I think I will be baking today or tomorrow (I have all the stuff to make oatmeal blueberry cookies). Yesterday, I spent the entire day sitting wrapped in blankets and reading.

glad you guys got some, too! i think we got about 6 inches. it was still snowing here when i went to bed but it must have stopped shortly after because it didn't look much different this morning. ray's outside taking pictures of it right now and i'm getting ready to finish up my coffee and join him!

Six inches? Wow! Did your snow melt as fast as ours did yesterday afternoon? At one point, Chelsea and Connor's snowman looked like something out of a horror movie as it melted and its head was leaning all the way over on the side. This was right before Connor picked it up and threw it at his sister.

I was so excited to see snow here since I missed the January snow. I think we got around 3.5 - 4 inches at my house. I was shocked we actually got that much.

Thanks! I was very surprised we got as much as we did, too. In fact, I had run to the store to pick up candy for the movies, and the clerk checking me out made some comment about where was the snow. I said, "I'm living dangerously and not buying milk." That attitude seems to work like a charm -- I didn't buy milk before the January snow either.

So pretty! I live in Michigan and it's still snowy here! I just wish it would be spring already! I am so sick of the snow!

Even with the snow, I am ready for warmer weather. I have had enough of winter for awhile.

I saw Atlanta was getting hit with some snow last night on the news and thought of you!
Good thing that you got to your movie and home before it got slick, even with your little friend sitting next to you.....
Did you tell us what you saw?

Yes, we got a good bit of snow for us. When we left the movie theater, it was already sticking, and the boys were all excited. I took my nephew and Connor to see The Lightning Thief. It was cute, but bore no resemblance to the actual book that we've all read.

Wow, that's a good amount of snow for down there!! Enjoy all of the white fun!

It was a good bit for us, but by 5:00 most of it had melted away. The kids had fun with it while it lasted.

Thanks! No yummy treats. We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and then, I claimed my spot on the couch with a book for the rest of the day.

More snow for the freezer! We got more too. And it was just like yours.......... large fluffy flakes that looked beautiful on the trees. Enjoy it while it lasts. Ours is melting quickly this time.

Amazingly, no snow made it into the freezer. The kids made a snowman, a snow fort, and had a huge snowball fight. Then, all the snow melted. I will be interested to see if we do indeed get another couple of inches like the weather channel is predicting tonight.

Well had to catch up-got a bit behind!! Love all the GF pics! Looks like you had a great time at the Diana exhibit. I would love to see that. I doubt it will be coming this way. Love your purchases!! The ornament is very pretty.

I know how you feel about spending the $$ on GF. My DH & I are staying deluxe for the first time this year because it is our 25th anniv. I keep telling myself that it is our 25th but in the back of my mind I keep thinking if we stayed at FQ we could save more $$. We will have our 25th anniv. only once & Chelsea will be turning 13 once. So enjoy GF & we will enjoy BC!!

I am bummed as we will miss the MSEP as we are going to be there a month earlier!! I love seeing new things & after going at the same time every year we see the same things. I DO hope they bring back the dessert party as I would definitely do that in May.

Well, it seems that the only thing I have actually done on my to-do list is go to the movies. I have been rather lazy this break. I better make today a bit more productive.

Our mounds of snow are gone, but we have a solid sheet of ice all over everywhere. We have a teacher work day, but they've already backed that up two hours, and they are out re-evaluating, according to the news. They'll probably go ahead with it for whoever can get there, because some schools flew speakers in at great expense. We don't have anyone special coming, so they told us if we didn't feel comfortable, just to take a personal day. I'll decide in a couple of hours what I am going to do. They have closed sections of the interstates saying they are ice skating rinks. If things don't change, I'll be home all day. A personal day is a small price to pay for not getting my car wrecked!
