CP, I know you will have a lovely time at the Grand, dahling!
You'll all fit in quite well, I am sure, until Connor starts lining his Army men or little green aliens on the grand piano or something like that.

My crew would last about one day (or maybe a half) being all prim and proper, so whenever we stay there some year, it'll probably only be for one night. They are kind enough to put up with us for visits, pictures-taking, eating, playing in the sand, etc.

Chelsea is going to feel like a very special girl when you guys check in.

I am SO excited for you! We will be trying to behave ourselves when we're there for 1900 PF. I can just picture my dad sitting in one of those nice chairs in the beautiful lobby, hands folded in his lap...wearing the glasses.

CP I just had to let you know I was thinking of you and Chelsea this week. It's been absolutely freezing up here for a few days, and as I see everyone walking around NYC all bundled up I think of Chesea saying New Yorkers are all stylish. She'd be so dissappointed if she saw how most people are walking around in this weather. It made me laugh to myself whenever I see them.

I'd love to know the demographics for people that stay at the GF. I bet it's not as richie rich as we think. I think many people want to stay there from all walks of life and perhaps just save to be able to stay there.

My goal is to stay at every resort too. I'm knocking another one off my list this trip. So far CBR, Pop, VWL, YC, BWV, BCV, and now AKV.

GF is my dream resort as well You have one very lucky DD!

And I couldn't agree more about staying on-site. I've been lucky to be on-site during all of my trips and I just can't imagine it any other way. We always drive to the parks and I somehow manage to get turned around at least once every trip and end up on I-4. Even the brief moment outside of the World is too much for me!

The GF is a gorgeous resort and I know you are going to love it! I can't wait to hear all about and see all your pictures! Every time I go to the GF (just to visit LOL) and I start humming the song Elegance from Hello Dolly because that's how I feel when I'm there LOL! (We've got Elegance...LOL)!!!

Sounds like a fun mom/daughter day planned with Chelsea. I'm doing that with my girls too. Amy I'm taking to work with and then the mall on Saturday and Emily we're going to go see Dear Jon and go to Ruby's Tuesdays next weekend.
The GF is gorgeous! You all are going to feel like royalty there! I'm sutr you'll fit in just fine. As long as there is no taking pictures of soda machines.

It's so exciting you will be bringing your to the palace of GF! I have always loved it, but felt somehow "unworthy" of staying there. When we visit there, I always feel like someone is going to jump out and shout, "POSERS! POSERS OVER THERE!" while pointing us out! I picture us grabbing our Piggly Wiggly grocery bags and running out the door before anyone can catch us! Seriously, I do know others who are not rich who stay there with codes, etc. so it can be done by us "regular folk."

You'll have to tell us all about your trip to the Diana exhibit. I remember very clearly the night she passed away; I was at a pool party at a friend's house, and her mom came outside and told us what happened. We all spent the next few hours around the TV, watching the news of the accident and her death. It was so sad...

I know Chelsea is going to be SO PUMPED to stay at her dream resort for her birthday! If you can, you should video her reaction to your annoucement - that would be priceless!

YAY!! LOVE the beautiful pics of the Grand Floridian!! We visited the GF on or last trip and were able to watch Wishes from the porch--so magical!! Chelsea is going to FREAK OUT when she finds out!! What a great mom you are!!

I try. Did you have a pretty good view of Wishes? I never hear much about people watching Wishes from there -- they seem to gravitate towards the Poly beach for them.

Beautiful pics! Isn't it funny how the "dream" resort changes? The Grand is definitely Kendall's dream resort too. I imagine it, like anything, is as "posh" as you make it. You guys will fit in perfectly, I've heard it is very relaxed and while I've not spent much time there (hit the spa and had lunch at Gasparilla's and the lunch was really really good!) K and I did a fair amount of moseying and it didn't seem at all like a place we'd be uncomfortable at either!

It is so beautiful and serene, it makes me feel relaxed just thinking about it. A very calm vibe....

We have been over to the Grand several times, so I think we will be okay. It is Disney so I doubt we will feel out of place with our regular vacation wear.

It is funny how our dream resort changes. I used to be all about the Victorian time period when I was younger -- now I am all about the exotic.

Connor has not started thinking about his 13th birthday, but I always think it would be neat for him to want to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. We'll see what he interests him in about two and a half years.

I do seem to be rather at a loss without resort flipping to occupy me.

I know I will enjoy crossing the Grand off my list -- it has been on there for a few decades.

Every trip I tell myself I'll get over to the Grand Floridian to look around. Still haven't yet. Maybe on our couple's only trip.

Oh, you should definitely head over there to explore. We have been several times, and pictures just can't do it justice.
