Top Secret Pixie Dust! A Surprise 13th Birthday PTR! NEW! TRIP REPORT LINK PAGE 220!

DVC is coming this fall if everything goes as planned. Fingers crossed!

:dance3: That is fantastic! AKV?

Chelsea doesn't like tea, but all those pastries they serve are right up her alley! Charles said he and Connor would go off and do something together, so I am looking forward to some mother/daughter time.

Love the tea idea!!!!! It's such a nice afternoon treat! You probably already know this, but I'm going to throw it out there just in case - they have chocolate milk as well to serve with the tea for non-tea drinkers. :thumbsup2

Jackie so funny about the Boris and Natasha to Connor and Chelsea's Rocky and Bullwinkle! So appropriate....
How did you get so clever?:worship:
I also think that Coppertone fits Laura to a T!
The hidden Smiley for MeMom was perfect too!:lmao:
Happy to say, I'm all caught up now!

Heading over to check out Cherie's new Vera!:cutie:

I kind of skimmed, so I have to ask, are you and Chelsea going to do a tea at the GF? I love tea and I really love pastries, so that will be a fun thing to read about!

I'm 99% sure that we're keeping our 1900 PF ADR for next month, and I'm SO excited that I'll finally be able to see the GF in person. It's going to be so exciting thinking of you guys staying there. :goodvibes

How exciting!!! I'm sure your daughter is going to love the surprise!!!!

I got to stay at the Grand Floridian with my mom in 2004 for a few nights and it was great! Such a nice resort!

I can't believe how far behind I've fallen in your trip report. :scared1: All caught up now though. I'm so glad that your kids enjoyed their snow day. I always loved snow up until about the time that I got my drivers license and my parents wouldn't let me drive while there was snow on the ground. :rotfl: Luckily while we've been getting snow up here, it hasn't been too bad. I try not to complain, because I'd much rather have snow than the ice storms we seemed to get continually last year. I think this year it's just been way too cold to snow most of the time. Seriously I don't know if I can take one more morning of my car telling me it's about 15 degrees out. Someone told me it's going to be about 40 tomorrow. Heat wave!!!

The good thing about working in Manhattan is that all the snow disappears. You see it fall, and the next day they've dragged it all out of the city. Not a flake anywhere. I want them to do that at home too.

I'm so in for this! My mother and I where telling my nieces that if we go up to NH with them this winter we are going to try snow tubing. I think one of the mountains near them in North Conway has the tubing. The nieces seem to think I need to try to learn to ski. Soooo not going to happen. I just know I'd kill myself.

I was born & raised here in NH but do NOT ski. The thought of going down a huge snow covered mountain on 2 slippery pieces of wood does not appeal to me:rotfl2: Both my DS's did learn to ski & snow board though from school. I did try cross country skiing once & the next day every muscle in my body (some I did not know I had) hurt so bad I never did that again. But I have many friends that ski but just not for me.

Mother/daughter tea sounds so nice! Chelsea is going to love it.

The utility bills have to be in line with the housing costs here I guess. I'm ready to rub two sticks together to make a fire in my living room :lmao: My brother keeps trying to get me to move to MD and take a principal job :scared1:

Teachers in Georgia get paid once a month??? :scared1: How does the teacher's union handle that?? I could not manage that. You must be excellent at making a budget :worship:
NYC public school teachers get paid twice a month. I work at a university lab school, so I get paid every 2 weeks.

Once a month would be very difficult, I had a hard time going from every 2 weeks to twice a month. Of course now there's no rhyme or reason to it, thank goodness Jeff gets paid every 2 weeks!

I agree about the housing costs, I was shocked not only with the utilities being so much higher than Chicago, so were the houses! I could have had a mansion back there for what I paid for my first house out here. I imagine it's leveled out some with things they way they are but it would seem if the value of all our houses have gone down, so should the utilities!

One can dream....

They don't kick you out of the state if you don't ski? :rotfl: My two nieces adore it. The younger one (age 6) is a bit of a menace to the slopes. She has one speed, blistering fast. At nearly 40, I told them I was way too old to learn to ski no matter how much fun they tell me it is. :lmao: Going down the mountain in a tube is much more my speed.

I wouldn't mind if they kicked me out & sent me to FL:rolleyes1

I thought you should know that I broke down and bought my first Vera.

Congrats! :thumbsup2 A mini hipster is my park bag, too.

I don't think I could ever live anywhere farther north than here. I am a wimp when it comes to cold weather!
Amen, sister!

DVC is coming this fall if everything goes as planned. Fingers crossed!

 We bought DVC in 2009, and we'll be taking our first trip "home" in December. Can't wait!

You were right about the "R" names for the Obamas:

President Barack Obama: Renegade

Michelle Obama: Renaissance

Malia Obama: Radiance

Sasha Obama: Rosebud

Wouldn't you love to be known as "Radiance"? I sure would!:cutie:

They took our Christmas pictures in the lobby and on the grounds. You can pretty much tell them where you want them. They are very flexible. My favorites were on the beach towards the Poly. We took some great ones in the hammocks.

I have seen and heard so many nice things about the GF Tea!!!! I am sure she will love that, "Tea" aside!! :) I know my boys totally dig the arcade! Maybe that is a good Charles and Connor plan ?? :confused3

Are ya going to wear hats??!! :goodvibes

Daaahlink, tea with Moose sound goot!:thumbsup2

I was eyeing that tea before our June trip but we ran out of spaces. You know you can get champage.:cloud9:

Stay safe Miss Natasha Princess! I keep hoping we'll get enough snow for a snow day, but our Superintendant will only cancel if there is a blizzard on top of a foot of ice.:sad2:

I also think that Coppertone fits Laura to a T!

Hey Natasha,

I was just over on Scrappie's PTR and saw that your ADRs are 4 days away...

Hmmm....are we going to get a peek at what you're going for or are we going to have to be patient and see when you make them...?:confused3 or are you still trying to decide yourself?;)

Wow!!! ADR day already?? Coming up? YAY!!! SO how are you going to do that? Are you calling first thing before school? Can't wait to hear your plans!!!! :yay:

I am poor all the time, and even moreso in the winter. Disney has taken all my 'extra' money for the last five years on a regular basis.

I could have written this! When the furlough days were announced for us in August, my first comment was, "The Mouse is not going to like this."

Brooklynn is not coming. I thought a play might be a little long for her, and I wanted to give Jill a day all to herself, too. It'll be a special treat for just grown-ups. :goodvibes

Brooklynn is going to love seeing Mary Poppins and having that special breakfast that is all about her!

Special treats for grown-ups are always lovely! :goodvibes

Brooklyn will love her breakfast with Mary -- after all, she is practically perfect in every way.

We finally had a couple of days in the 50s this week, and I swear I was still just as cold. I need my summer heat!

The good thing about working in Manhattan is that all the snow disappears. You see it fall, and the next day they've dragged it all out of the city. Not a flake anywhere. I want them to do that at home too.

It's like magic! LOL!

There is no way I will ever be a skier. I know that disappoints Charles because he loves to ski, but I keep telling him, he can just take the kids.

The teachers in our distric get paid every other week. Since DH retired we are on the once a month salary. That has not been stressful for us.

evergreen out.

I am usually pretty good with budgeting, but we get paid the last day before Christmas break and then not again until the end of January. It is a LONG six weeks!

a mini hipster...it's on ;my pre tr..:rolleyes1

The UPS man didn't bring that today, did he? Just the shoes, right?

:dance3: That is fantastic! AKV?

Yes, I just love it from all the pictures I have seen.

Love the tea idea!!!!! It's such a nice afternoon treat! You probably already know this, but I'm going to throw it out there just in case - they have chocolate milk as well to serve with the tea for non-tea drinkers. :thumbsup2

I am sure that Chelsea will opt for the chocolate milk. I don't think she has even ever tried tea.

Yeay for being caught up! Moose almost busted me just now when she came out to check something on her Facebook. I thought she was all tucked into bed.
