Love the reading in the rain picture. I used to sit on the wall at the backdoor to read when it was raining. On nice days I'd climb up on the bottom limb of the pin oak tree in our backyard to read. My bedroom window was right there and I'd put my radio in the window to have background music while I was reading.

I love the pic of Chelsea reading in the rain. I used to do that too. Her sleeping on the floor with the dogs . When I was her age and I would complain about being board my mom alway said she give me something to do. I would usually find a book or take a nap. Those cupcakes look good. I think I have a project for kids I watch the next time it rains.

I told Chelsea the same thing about being bored! She finally found a book to read. The cupcakes were very easy to make, and we had a lot of fun making them.

We saw TS3 on Friday too. Best movie I've seen in a long time. I also cried for my lost childhood, my kids' lost childhoods, and the little girl in the tutu with rain boots made me miss my DGS2 - that's her favorite get-up

Oh my goodness! Wasn't that just unbelievable when Landon Donovan scored that goal in the 91st minute??? Of course, I was a weepy mess after the stress of watching the refs call a phantom offsides earlier, and then, ALL of those attempts on goal that never panned out -- I was so sure we were finished and then, out of nowhere that goal! Such a great game!

That picture of Chelsea sleeping on the floor with the dogs is a hoot. Recently my DS12 has to be unplugged and he very dramatically "took to his bed".

Actually, his unplugging was for 2 days and by day 2 he became very creative. It's like his brain turned on and he went to town. He did more projects that day than he had done in a month! I actually secretively like him to get in trouble just so I have an excuse to strip him down to nothing...he's a much cooler kid that way.

I agree completely! After Chelsea's nap she read a book, helped me make cupcakes, and played about a million hands of Uno with me -- I think she had a really good day overall although I am sure she would disagree.

LOL Pinatas in jail!!! That's a great one!!!! Connor is always good for a laugh and a smile!!!! What a great sense of humor!!

Connor definitely has a unique outlook on life.

We often have "unplugged days" around here. At the cottage it's out of necessity and no one seems to mind but at home it's the worst punishment possible.

Chelsea absolutely blanched when she realized she was going to be punished with the ultimate "unplugged."

How was the A-Team? Charles and I are a bit shocked at how many movies lately seem to be a throwback to our childhood shows and movies! Who would have ever thought there would be an A-Team movie? LOL!

I really liked it alot. I thought everyone really nailed their characters. Lots of explosions, no real plot, completely implausible. It was just like the show used to be. If you go in expecting that it's lots of fun. I just wish I had known to stay through the credits for a cameo of the original Face and Murdock. I had the biggest crush on Face as a kid that dated from his days on Battlestar Gallactica.

Okay, here’s an actual planning update of sorts! It’s hard to believe that we are only three weeks away from our trip! The summer is just flying by, and I really haven’t done much as far as trip prepping. I hope that doesn’t come back to haunt me.

Here’s our trip binder. Bippityboo gave me the idea of using ribbon to decorate it. Her binder for her Christmas trip is a thing of beauty!

Here’s the inside where I added some more ribbon.

A few years ago I decided to use the clear envelope our travel documents came in to hold park maps, itineraries, and dining reservation numbers. It’s perfect for slipping into my park bag. I added some Mickey rhinestones to “bling” it out.

When Jenjolt went down for her Memorial Day weekend, she was super sweet to send us some treats from our favorite place.

A new Disney pen for me and the Star Wars Weekend pin for Connor.

Disney Silly Bandz for Chelsea and Connor! They have had so much fun with them.

Thank you, Jen! Your kindness meant so much to us!

To further prove that our trip is creeping ever closer, we got the all-important Mickey Mail awhile back! Travel documents and luggage tags are always fun to get!

I have also been making a few trip purchases here and there.

I bought a lot of pins for trading down at Disney. (I kept the Mickey Ghost pin for myself.)

The boys got new Teva Mush flip flops. As soon as they came in, Charles and Connor both took theirs and have worn them every day since then.

I have a few shirts set aside for Connor. He is notorious for getting stains on his shirts, so I am not letting him wear any of these until Disney.

My last purchase was my Elliott pin from the Main Street Electrical Parade. I decided to go ahead and buy one from a seller on eBay since I was nervous they would be sold out before we got to the parks.

So, there you are -- a little trip update of sorts!

That Jen is a sweet girl, eh? We received a little sumpin from her recently, and I was so tickled.

I love the shirts for Connor, and I know what you mean! I'll often buy new shirts for vacation and set them aside for my DS so they don't get ruined beforehand. Boys will be boys, but at least they can look clean at the start of the day, right?

Those Silly Bandz are all the rage, huh? I applaud the gentleman who came up with that concept. Think of how much money he's making!
