There sure is a lot of difference between what everyone has been able to book at POR. I'd sure like to know what the deal is. I wanted a standard room with the DV FD offer but couldn't get it, while others have. Must be the dates????

I would say it is the dates. Definitely call back on Thursday to see if more opened up. Plus, people might upgrade to other rooms/hotels when they get their FD. Good luck!

I just got off phone w/ them. First thing she said was "I see you are in a LM room. Unfortunately, those rooms, along with the cabins, are the only ones not included on the Free Dining."

The cabins are not included??? Does anyone know or speculate if it was just for FD with Visa or just your dates? We are booked 11/27-12/5 w/ 6 of us staying in the cabins.

Of course I just recently applied for the Disney Visa. Hope when Thursday gets here there will be something that will work for us since right now we are booked at AoA Finding Nemo.

I just called back... again... and the CM said the differences in the POR bookings are the dates. The standard rooms ARE included at POR, just not for my dates. Sorry about posting the wrong info before but the other two CMs I spoke to misinformed me. I sure wish Disney would make sure their phone operators were more knowlegable.

Our dates are dec 10 thru dec 17. All rooms were available with free dinning except the royal guest room which is what I have had booked since feb! I had to pay the ticket increase price to change to a standard view rm. kinda irked me but I know that 75$ is nothing compared to what dinning would cost us.

With the free dining released for the Visa cardholders should I look at booking my room (POFQ garden view) now to make sure I have a room when free dining is released to the general public? Is it easy to call and add free dining to the room only booking when it comes out or would I have to make a new reservation?

You cannot add free dining to a room only reservation. You can only get free dining with a package including at least a 2 day base ticket for everyone in the room ages 3 and up. If you booked a room only now, you would just have to cancel it and book a package on Thursday, so if you are going regardless of getting the FD, and that is the room you specifically want. Book it as a package now and try to add the dining later. If you are not going unless you can get FD, just wait until Thursday to book anything.

Dining plans can be upgraded at an additional cost. This discount must be booked by 9/29/12. Free dining available select nights 9/30-10/4, 10/19-11/1, 11/9-11/15, 11/23-11/29 and 12/10-12/13/12.All discounts are subject to availability, certain restrictions apply. Blackout dates may apply. Discount is not valid at campsites, 3-bedroom villas or the Little Mermaid Standard View rooms at Disney's Art of Animation resort.

Ultimately, given that it's Disney, you'll know for SURE when you get thru and talk to a person.

Also, it says you must book a 6 night stay.

The 6 night stay is just an example. Not a requirement.

A lot of general public have come out on Thursdays. Sometimes they do a Disney Visa version of the sale on Mon., then gen. Public on Thurs.

No. You still have to call. Even though there are codes listed, they can changed depending on where and what you book. For instance, if you stay in a value with the QSDP, your code could be ABC, but if you stay in a value and wish to upgrade to the regular DDP, your code could be XYZ.

People have gotten FD there today, so it might just be booked for your dates. You could always switch resorts, but I would call on Thursday morning to see if more rooms have been added and then call back later in the day or on Friday and see if any rooms have opened up. People will likely do a lot of upgrading to deluxe or better room categories when they get their FD added. Good luck!

POFQ is included in the offer, but they are probably just already booked. Or you might have gotten a CM who has no clue what they are talking about. If I was you, I'd call back and speak to someone else.
