What resort would you guys choose for just two adults? I'm debating between POFQ and Coronado Springs. I love the fact POFQ would be smaller and have a boat to DTD but I love the theme of Coronado. We haven't been to Disney since we were little and haven't stayed in either so I am not sure what to expect from either.

Actually, you can! You can go to any guest relations at any park and pick up your package tickets up to 3 days before your check in date! We are staying room-only in AKV before starting free dining at CSR and we'll be picking up our package tickets early.

Are you sure about the tickets? I would love this!! Would be arriving Wed 11/21 for room only and check in on 11/23 for FD @ CSR. It would be great to be able to go to a park (HS) on T-day.

Yes! The info came straight from a sticky here on the DIS all about tickets. You can pick up tickets ONLY, no dining plan credits, ect. up to 3 days before check in!

Just curious for those that have done a split stay (can't remember the answer to this) do you find out you're keeping the same room when you first check in or when you come back the next morning to re-check in? It would surely be nice to know ahead of time so we wouldn't completely unpack that one night - just curious

This is what I've been waiting for! Our package is booked with our TA and we are arriving on 11/29! This is a huge savings for us! DS just turned 10 about a week and a half ago and he is now off the kids DP and on the adult DP. So that's about $1300 or so off of our package!

For those asking about the LM rooms at AoA, I suspect they already mostly booked. I have the FD PIN and could book for the DEC dates. So if they aren't allowing this for the public offer I'm guessing they filled most of the rooms already and are saving the last few for those willing to pay full price.

The FW cabins have always been included in all FD promos. It's the FW campsites that are not included.

I just wanted to make sure. We had to cancel our trip in 2010 but we were booked at FW Cabins with FD. The cast member acted like she put us on hold to jump through hoops to get us FD since FW no longer participated.

We got a general discount for FD the first week in Dec 2009. I think that was the last year it was offered that week.

I'm really bummed about the LM rooms being excluded, but at least now I have a few days to make my peace with it, and alter my plans. I'll take FD at Pop over a LM room any day. Thanks again!

Does Disney allow guests to drop the AAA discount and book / apply the FD option instead? I think, if I read a previous post right, I would need to buy a min. of a 2 Day MYW ticket for each of us? But as long as we don't use those we could save them for another trip? (The Y.E.S. tickets are non-refundable.)

What if later a room only discount comes out? Would I be able to drop the FD discount and book / apply that discount instead?

The reason I ask about that option is because I think, with the way we eat (likes, dislikes, etc.) that a room only discount option would be better for us, depending on he percentage off. But FD is better than the discounts we currently have.

Does any of that make sense?

Not sure buying the two day ticket would be worth it if you are already getting a discount on your room and tickets. If it were me, I would keep things as is and then switch your AAA code to a better room code if one comes along.

If you do decide to switch to FD, then you will have to completely cancel your current room (getting your deposit refunded to you) and book a completely new package with full price room, 2 day tickets and then the FD. You can definitely save those tix for later, but then if you want to switch to a room code you would go right back to having to completely cancel your package and get the refund and book the new room only. Money cannot be transfered from a room only to a package and vice versa, so it would require refunds and new deposits every time you switch.

Does that make sense?
