For our first trip to Universal, we want to make sure we see it all in the best way possible. We're a family of 4 with 2 teen boys.(Now for Disney, we for sure had everything planned out and the Boards helped us to have a fantastic time.)

So, for US and IOA, one park per day, what are the top 5 things to see/ride? Is there an optimum order to do them?

And whats the best evening activities for families?

Can't wait!

US-
Shrek
Jimmy Nuetron (my son says JN 1st)
Back to the Future (car 6)
MIB
MIB
MIB (the boys are going to like this one)
Jaws
Earthquake
Twister
Ghostbusters (not a ride but a show)
Lunch ( not a ride, but they take you for one!)
Horror Make-Up (show)
T-2
ET (if necessary)
Animal Planet

IOA-
Hulk
Spiderman
JP
DD

The order doesn't matter with FOTL, though. I've bounced you around the parks above, but with FOTL you can go to attractions in the order that you come to them.

IOA-
1. Spiderman
2. Hulk
3. Dudley Do-Right
4. Dueling Dragons
5. Popeye

USF-
1. MIB
2. BTTF
3. Jaws
4. ET
5. Shrek

Those are the must do's for each park in order. At IOA, you'll want to start with the Marvel rides and get Express passes for the water rides. At USF, you'll want to do Shrek first.

To be honest rather than setting a plan in order I go from ride/show and if queues are too big I move on then come back you find a lot of people are like sheep and they follow the crowds it works for me and as Universal parks are smaller than Disney u find it easier to backtrack:jester:

Sounds like we won't have a problem - especially since we will stay onsite and have FOTL priviledges. I guess I was thinking about the Disney crowds.

I am sure our best laid plans will go out the window if the boys decide to hit rides multiple times anyway!

Any other suggestions?

If u have FOTL u will be very ok and will be able to do what u want when u want:jester:
