I just perused a thread that was all about The Next Food Network Star, and it got me thinking about my current favorite reality/cooking show/competition, Bravo's Top Chef.

So, who do you think's gonna win? Who do you want to win? What do you think of the show in general?

Personally, I think either Harold or Tiffani will walk away with top honors, but I'd personally like to see it boil down to Harold and Stephen going mano a mano. Heck, I even think Dave's pretty entertaining, in a sort of train-wreck way.

I just pray it's anybody but Tiffani. She irritates me to no end.

Stephen drives me crazy the way he looks at the Judges- as if They have no clue.
Dave is a decent cook but a big cry baby.
Tiffani is pretty cut throat, but that might be what it takes and the judges always like her cooking.
My personal fav is Harold, I'm not sure why...nice personality, takes criticism, and can handle the pressure - obviously he can cook, or he wouldn't still be there!

I think Dave will be the next one to go and LeeAnn will win. We are now giving them Project Runway names. Dave is Andre, Stephen is Santino, Harold is Kara, and LeeAnn and Tiffani are Dan and Chole. I know, we watch wayyyy too much TV.

I discovered this show a few weeks back and had to watch all the reruns so I could get caught up on who is who. IF I ever walked into a restaurant and Stephen was coming out to show me the wine list I WOULD GET UP AND LEAVE..He makes me ill.....I almost thought that he was a plant to up the ratings.......Cause how can anyone be that stupid and act the way he does. If I had to choose right now I would want Harold to win. I think he is a class act and can obviously cook and if given free reign he would cook up a storm....Dave makes me embarassed to see him sobbing away when he thought he was losing. He is a weirdo.......the two ladies are both good cooks

Stephen will never win and he drives me CRAZY but he is hysterical to watch. He is a typical young person who believes in his heart that he knows everything when he actually doesn't have a clue about ANYTHING... Hysterical IMO...

Well, not to be argumentative, but, technically, Stephen pretty much knows his s***. As do Harold, LeeAnn, and, admittedly, Tiffani. I dunno, maybe I'm being sexist without even realizing it (or, well, just now realizing it), because even though I can certainly see why most people would loathe Stephen, with his dandy duds and the condescendingly effete air about him, he has pretty much backed up the 'tude week after week with his left-of-center flavor concoctions and his eye for elegant platings. Plus, well, I'm a huge fan of Morrissey, so I guess I have a predisposition toward liking ambiguously homoerotic dandies.

But Tiffani? While she is a pretty awesome chef, I, personally, just can't get past her passive-aggressive, smug, self-satisfaction. And, let's not forget that she pretty much called head judge Tom Callichio (sp.?) a liar a few weeks back. I mean, how's that for impertinence?

I think they'll keep Stephen around (as they did last week) simply because we, the viewers, love to hate him, and that's good for ratings. Believe it or not, in the culinary world, he does have a pretty impressive resume. CIA grad, and one of the youngest sommaliers in the US. Don't get me wrong, I think he's really smug and obnoxious too, but I dunno, it wouldn't surprise me if he got Top Chef.
