Well, I don't know but....I am not sure if you are his "type."
I don't think his ego is any worse than most of the chefs left. But the show's on Syfy. Who's gonna watch it anyway![]()
It is!I hope its a new TC this week. I miss the guy drama.
He had a fiancee (albeit a foreign one who wasn't in the country) last season. He hasn't mentioned her thus far.
One of my teachers always used to say, "Attitude monitors talent." A person can have tremendous talent, but if they have a sucky attitude toward others, or in regards to themselves, it monitors how far they will actually go with that talent. They can absolutely waste or destroy their talent and their chances in life.
It wasn't just his ego that took Marcel down. It was his attitude to the other chefs. I want to point out how when Mike Isabella, was explaining their little tussle, and Marcel just couldn't let it go. Mike actually said something like, "Do you really want to go there? You want to drag out all the cards? WE ALL KEPT QUIET ABOUT THIS. Do you want to go there?"
I'm not a particular fan of Mike's. I couldn't stand him on his season. Thought he was an overblown windbag. But, I give him credit on this. He was right. All the other chefs had kept quiet up to that point. Tom, earlier, had even specifically asked what happened. But, all chefs kept quiet even if it meant one of them would take the hit. Mike even warned Marcel that.
Marcel was the one who couldn't let things go, had to have the last word, had to point out every one else's faults. Went after Tifffany about the asparagus. Went after Antonia, who is normally mild mannered, and as someone else pointed out, doesn't like to throw the other chefs under a bus, so that she had to defend herself and went after him.
Even Angelo gave Tom a look indicating, Yeah, this is what went on."
When everyone else had the class to keep their mouths shut, Marcel couldn't.
Dale was quite smart in picking a team leader who no one else got along with.

Examples: Roseanne Barr - had a top sitcom on the air, treated everyone like crap and then self destructed by sabotaging her own success to a level that NO ONE in the business would give her work again once her show ended.
John Belushi, brilliantly talented, killed by his own drug use.
Lindsay Lohan & Charlie Sheen are headed down the same paths because of their attitudes.
Robert Downey, Jr. and John Travolta, both had their careers disappear for quite a while, (for different reasons,) but now that they've had come backs, they are humbly grateful and appreciative. People WANT to work with them because of their attitudes.
Well, his ego, his attitude, and the foam

Dare I say, latent tendencies? He embraces the foam. There has to be something w/ that.
It never looks like anything but... you know.
I LOVE that!!! Can I quote that on my FB page? It's really good!![]()

I have a bad feeling about this challenge ... I think one of the Italian boys is going home.
Tre going home. It sounded like his risotto was universally panned but I thought they were going to send Dale home instead.
What about the way they reacted to Antoinia winning? What a bunch of poor losers! I was a little shocked that Carla was up there in the top 4 because it didn't seem like the soup was a huge hit. Fabio makes me want to make a nice cacciatore this week! With polenta.
