Top 95 "KSHE Klassics" - Classic rock list

Not true. They've always played current rock, if it meets their "standard" of rock. The new Rolling Stones tune is in rotation right now & both "Jeremy" and "Evenflow" get regular airplay, along with the occasional less-popular Pearl Jam song.

Now, the Sunday Morning Klassics show is obviously older stuff, although I heard Guns N Roses on there once - guess their stuff is becoming "older" now

Story for you: One of my DS' band parents is on staff at KSHE, and when we did our student music showcase this year she volunteered to get one of the on-air personalities to MC the show. The kids univerally turned that down -- they told her that while they appreciated the offer, they felt that having a KSHE DJ on the flier would be the kiss of death in terms of getting their peers to buy tickets. Apparently, teens here now consider KSHE an old-folks station.

K-SHE 95 in St. Louis is the oldest FM rock station in America & every Sunday morning they do a "Klassics" show for several hours. The songs you'll hear are typically not just classic rock, but some of the more obscure stuff. Recently, they compiled a list of Klassics A-Z and spent basically an entire year of Sundays playing them a few at a time, and then asked the listeners to vote on the top Klassics. Some interesting choices. Thought those of you into classic rock might enjoy the list:
