It's hard to do a top 5 mixing character meals and non-character ones.... but...
Crystal Palace Lunch and Dinner - the buffet has a wonderful, delicious variety. This buffet meets higher standards, convenient location in Magic Kingdom. DS doesn't mind skipping all the MK excitement to sit down for lunch. And who doesn't love Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore?
Ohana Dinner - all the food was great, some entertainment for children, and the Polynesian is a great resort to visit - enjoy the lobby and take a walk on the beach.
Yak and Yeti in Animal Kingdom- the food and service was wonderful and several menu choices are different than the usual steak, chicken, etc. Interesting decor. Tusker House's lunch and buffet (if you want a buffet), I'd put high on the list too.
1900 Park Fare Dinner - I just had to throw a face character meal in the mix. Never been here, but on plans for next trip. But you get Cinderella and Prince Charming for 1 TS, plus Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters. Everyone deserves a closeup encounter with the stepsisters! We had one at Magic Kingdom.
Restaurant Marrakesh - Many people don't like this place. But we went for lunch around 12:30. Great place to cool off, some of the best service I've had at Disney, good food, and loved the music and belly dancing. I can eat at a "regular" restaurant at home. At Disney, I like the places with characters, fun themes, and entertainment. I really think Marrakesh deserves better reviews.
