Friend and I are meeting at WDW for 3 days. We've always gone with our families, and are so excited for our "no kids" experience. What 2 restaurants would you recommend for dinner? One night we may eat at AKL - have you been and how was the food?

Mmmm, Jiko at at AKL is phenomenal. I think you will find that most people on this board will recommend it! The other restaurant there, Boma, is also incredible. the only reason I sometimes prefer Boma is because it is since it is buffet, you can take tiny tastes of so many interesting and exotic foods. Jiko is more romantic, but i don't think you are looking for that.

The Blue Zoo at the Dolphin is also excellent. That is the first one that popped into my mind. You can walk around the Boardwalk afterwards, or explore the Y&BC, etc.

Have a great trip! Only 4 more months til my next visit! yeehaw!

Our two favorites are Jiko & California Grill. We ate at both recently and they were excellent as always.

I would second the votes for Jiko and Cali Grill. Jiko was probably the best meal I've ever had on Disney property (their filet with the macaroni and cheese is fantastic), and Cali is nice as well.

Although I would second the votes for Jiko's and California Grill, two other Adult only options are Artist Point and Shula's Steakhouse.

I would have to suggest to keep in mind that there arent any kid-free zones in WDW, except for the interior of your own hotel room :confused3

Although at most restaurants you will not find an adult only atmosphere it is possible to get that experience at a few. I am 99.9% sure you will get an adult only experience at Victoria and Alberts. Also here is a tip I have picked up along the way. Go to wdwig.com and you can look at the menus for every restaurant. Pay attention to the ones that do not offer any type of kids menu. This is done to discourage families with small children. Most parents are not willing to pay full adult prices for their pre-schoolers. Good luck and have a great time. I love going to disney will my little ones, but I also can't wait for my adult girls only trip in March.

Here's a possible idea~ The later you dine, maybe the less kids will still be up/ at dinner. However, any shorties (5 or under) still at dinner after 9 may be more than a little:scared: Ofcourse, some kids are used to eating dessert at 10 pm, I guess:confused3

BlueZoo
California Grill

I hesitate a bit on CG because it can be very noisy & we often have over-extended kiddos around us, whose parents are waiting for the fireworks. But, the food is good, the view is fantastic & you can tune out screaming fits if you put your mind to it.

Now BlueZoo is as close to Adult Heaven as you can find in WDW. It's upscale, chic, the food is sublime, the service is top-notch & I have hardly seen any kids in there. Kids are welcome, of course, but you just don't see many there.

I have high hopes for Jiko which I'll be trying this year.

Because I've never gone to WDW without the kids (but it is in the plans) I haven't been to any of the restaurants by previous posters. But, of all the restaurants I have been to and that is many, I really liked LeCellier for both the atmosphere and the food and there were not many kids there either:thumbsup2 The restaurant in France also gets good reviews and I can't imagine you'd find many children there either. Another favorite is House of Blues for a casual adult dinner. Have Fun!

Artist Point Is A Great Place To Go Without Kids. My Dw And I Celebrated Our Anniversary There And Requested A Quiet Table When We Checked In, And It Was Perfect !

DH and I love Flying Fish. While I cannot guarantee that it will be 100% kid-free, I do not remember kids being a problem there. And the food is out of this world! It's a little pricey, but definitely worth it.

Victoria and Alberts is excellent, also. We ate a the Chef's table for our two-year anniversary. The food was probably the best that I've ever eaten, but for the price, I'd rather enjoy two or three meals at Flying Fish, Wolfgang Puck, etc.
