Top 2 DVC Memories of 2002

Aside from our June purchase, I would have to say the top 2 memories are ....

1) first DVC stay @ OKW (6 hot, beautiful days in October) and;

2) suprise quickie stay after Christmas (quick visit home after touring the Everglades).

Now, where can I get my hands on more points?!?

1. Getting DH to do the DVC tour at the Boardwalk (We were thinking of renting/paying cash for a 1 bdroom villa next year ) and having him say "umm... I think we could afford this"

2. Buying the add on :D

Not meaning to harp on your displeasure of DVC, but seriously, if you are that against DVC why dont you sell your pts. We purchased 11 mos ago at VWL also and we can only afford 1 trip a yr even using pts.

I work hard extra hrs. so we can afford to pay for DVC over the next 10 yrs. for our few pts that we have. You are either in the same boat with me where you may be stressing to make sure the money is there each month plus dues, OR, it came too easy to you so you dont really appreciate it.

What I DO know is WDW is supposed to be the happiest place on earth and DVC just helps to sweeten the experience that much more. We just got back from a unusually cold, rainy trip and those days were a lot easier to swallow being in the warmth and coziness of VWL. It seems obvious that you arent getting a lot of happiness from it.

If you look at it from this standpoint, the pts have gone up since we purchased in Jan. You should be able to resell at or above your original purchase through one of the agents on this pages. Just my thoughts, not meaning to step on any toes. You have your opinion and I have mine.

After 8 wonderful days at BWV last October/November it's hard to pick just two! I guess I have the say the entire vacation was #1 - with our incredible BoardWalk view in the Crest 'o the Wave building, the Illuminations cruise, riding RNRC 5 times, etc. #2 is the anticipation of our first Disney Cruise in October 2003!

OK Everyone I just couldn't resist adding my 2 faves. I have to agree with TDC NALA....

1) Realizing that we could afford DVC but that was in 2001 when we bought so I guess it would be our first stay as DVC members and enjoying the best vacation ever with some very nice friends that decided to join us.... Thanks Guys!

2) As a result of an addon we got a comp stay at a deluxe, unanimously deciding to stay at the Polynesian and my bil & sil allowing us to take our neice (my daughter is an only) adding to the delight that 8 years ago we all had gone to Disney and stayed on INTL Drive. Although that was a great vacation we enjoy DVC much more!

Great Thread!

1 - Adding on at BCV so we were able to take a last minute surprise birthday trip for our son's 9th birthday in July.

2 - Wonderful Christmas trip to OKW with our son and 15 yr old niece.

3 - Worrying about calling Members Service for our Thanksgiving 2003 trip to VWL while we were at OKW. (But we got it as soon as we returned home. )

I love this thread! Here's ours!!!

1.My husband and I took our first trip by ourselves since having our baby (who's almost a year!) - stayed at a 1 bedroom at the BCV - loved being able to walk to EPCOT, get our beavertails with hazelnut chocolate and then walk back to the room!!!

2. Loved our jacuzzi tub - loved sipping wine while listening to music - laughed really hard when husband put 2 bottle of those little shampoos in to make bubble and then we had bubbles everywhere!!!!!!!!!

We love DVC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
