This is what we are planning so far

1. CHEF MICKEY (Monday Dinner)
2. Chip 'n Dale's Harvest Feast at the Garden Grill (Tuesday Lunch)
3. CORAL REEF (Tuesday Dinner)
4. BREAKFASTSOURUS (Wednesday Breakfast)
5. 1900 PARK FARE (Wednesday Dinner)
6. SCI-FI (Friday Dinner)
7. Ohana (Saturday breakfast)

We have never been to Disney so please let me know if we are missing something that should not be missed.

Our kids really enjoyed Whispering Canyon, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Crystal Palace.

But be prepared, it's not a board favorite, so there will be those that will try to talk you out of it. We thought it was great - beer and wine included for mom and dad, unlimited Mickey Ice Cream bars, and dancing with Mickey - what's better!
We also liked Rainforest Cafe - food was average but better than expected, atmosphere was great, my son LOVED the fish tanks. It's not on DDP, but since you're planning on a few 2 credit things, you'll probably have to pay OOP somewhere anyway.
That's a great time of year to go - we've been there the past 2 years that exact week - nice low crowds, good weather, fun halloween decorations.
I know it's pricey for a big family, but have you considered MNSSHP? That was really fun also...HAVE A GREAT TIME!
You never know - I may still talk my hubby into going back during that time...

My stepmother took me back in January and we ate at Cinderella's Royal Table-lunch, Crystal Palace-breakfast, Mama Melrose-lunch, Coral Reef-dinner, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Norway-dinner-on the dp. And off of the dp we ate at Earl of Sandwich-dinner, Toy Story Pizza Planet-lunch, and at our resort (Pop Century)-snacks, lunch, dinner. We mostly brought our breakfast (breakfast bars) we only had breakfast on the dp 1 time. They were all really good. My fave was Cinderella's Royal Table in the castle.

2. Backyard BBQ (2 TS)
3. Hoop De Doo (2 TS)
4. Planet Hollywood

We are staying at POR any thoughts on that would also be appreciated.

Ok after being called a freak by the wife and kids (the 8 and 9 year old...youngest can't talk yet) the master spreadsheet has been changed.

Here we go

1. Chef Mickey
2. Coral Reef (this place looks to cool to pass up)
3. Donald's Breakfastasourus (we are big breakfast people)
4. Planet Hollywood
5. Sci-Fi
6. Hoop-Dee-Doo (2 TS)

I am so glad to hear this is a good time of the year to go. We definitely plan on going to the MNSSHP. Who knows this may be our only trip as a family for a while and...It’s only money right?

:cool2:

We also like Garden Grill in Epcot, 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian, and LIberty Tree Tavern! (all with character interaction!)

Ohana's breakfast at the Polynesian with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto is awesome. The character interaction is top notch. Rainforest Cafe is also a lot of fun also. We are also doing Coral Reef and Chef Mickeys. You have some good choices. You might want to try to do Liberty Tree Tavern or Crystal Palace before MNSSHP starts.

In my opinion here are the best bet TS for kids:

5. Spoodles
4. Coral Reef
3. Whispering Canyon
2. OHana
1. Chef Mickey's

I didn't put any 2 TS credit events (Hoop De Doo, BBQ, etc...) because if I'm going to spend 2 credits it's going to be at Flying Fish.:thumbsup2

What makes Spoodles fun for kids? We considered it, but I didn't think it would appeal to my young kids... fill me in!

I'd like to know too. I have Spoodles booked, but it will be a bonus if the kids actually like it too. ;)

My kids loved Spoodles - not sure why...
Maybe it was the pizza - I really hope they still have it on the kids menu.
I think I saw a new menu w/o it :sad2:

My kids have always enjoyed Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. We have also done breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian and they really liked those too...I believe there is renovation going on there and I am not sure when it reopens.

At MGM the 50's Prime Time is fun. My kids are over ten now so I am not sure about the kids menu there. At Epcot the Norway Princess Breakfast would be nice for your DD. Mine loved it...the restaurant is called Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. We are trying the Garden Grill there for the first time this year.

Also new for us this year will be Sci-Fi, Donald's Breakfast, Spoodles and Whispering Canyons...hope they are all good!!! I have also heard that the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at the Polynesian is very good.

food at Sci-Fi is really bad. Neat atmosphere though, tables are very small too

I read Sci-Fi's food isn't very good, so I thought we'd just stop in for dessert. That way the kids could still check out the fun atmosphere, which I heard was great. Our MGM dinner ADR is for 50's Primetime.

Nothing that we could see when we ate there...And actually (putting on the flame suit) we weren't overly impressed w/the food there either.

We did Chef Mickey's for breakfast. It was fantastic. Food was great and the Character interaction was top notch. :cool1:

My daughters favorite was Akershus Princess Storybook Dinner in Norway at Epcot. If your daughter likes the princesses this is well worth it. Princesses we saw:
Cinderella
Jasmine
Ariel
Aurora(sleeping beauty)
Belle
