Well it's my son's toothbrush and it's probably been on the floor before without me knowing it. So, I'll just give it a good boil so the kid can brush his teeth again.
If it was yours ,I would tell you to let your husband use it first and then toss it. Hide his and when he ask about it, tell him to use yours. All of these years we have use toothbrushes and was not really concerned about germs and it did not kill us, so don't worry. If chicken ,red meat, beer, drugs, bad air, pork, work and a lot of other things have not killed us yet ,than a toothbrush wii not do it.
I know this is a serious question, but it just cracked me up. I can imagine the responses....
When did you last wash the floor?
How many boys in the family?
How many times do they pee on the floor?
How many pets in the house?
How many times do you use this bathroom?
... The list could go on and on and on.
I would pick it up and rinse it off and use it again.
ITA! For those of you that automatically said "toss it", do you take your own cutlery and dishes everytime you go out to eat? I mean, we're not talking the bathroom floor in a public washroom at the mall! Now it does depend on how disgusting your bathroom floor might be! My DS5 "does his business sitting down" so we really don't have the floors that some of my friends have spoken of!
I think I saw this on an episode of Fear Factor once. The ditzy blonde was like well, "I've had worse things in my mouth" and the buff guy with the tatoos (remember him?) was like "Dude, I'll do anything for 50 grand!" and the sensible mother of quadruplets was like "I've seen nastier stuff than that at the bottom of my purse, give me that thing." Of course the paramedics were standing by, so I'd think twice about going near it. You might want to leave it there and seal off the bathroom.
Sorry. Couldn't resist. Actually, Ida tossed it by now.
