I went to the dentist Monday morning to have a tooth (lower molar) prepped for my very first crown.
It felt pretty good all week but I just ate lunch and had a large glass of ice cold tea with it and when that cold tea hit the tooth with the temporary crown it "lit my eyes up" a bit (to borrow an expression from my dentist).
I don't know if I've been subconsciously protecting it from cold and this is just the first time I've let anything cold hit it or if it's new. I don't have any problems when chewing and I've been chewing on it since day one because they told me I could eat normally right away (after the Novocain wore off, of course!
).
Since this is my first experience with having crown work done I was just wondering if this is normal.
