Tooth Fairy

Our tooth fairy wasn't expecting to come by our house that night. That tooth wasn't ready to come out, but DD's bus driver pulled it anyway. (That was NOVEMBER, and she still hasn't had a new tooth even attempt to grow in yet. In case you're wondering, the dentist said if it wasn't there by the next appointment (should be July or August), they'd do x-rays to figure out what's up.)

Anyhow...since the tooth fairy wasn't expecting the bus driver to pull the tooth..all she had was a $20. And none of us had any change. :confused3

My mother and I have explained to DD that it was a one-time occurence...very special losing her first tooth and all that. Of course, by the time the next one is loose, she'll probably have forgotten how much she got. (But now...I guarantee the tooth fairy ALWAYS has something smaller than a $20 on hand!)

Your daughters bus driver pulled out her tooth!

My DS 5 has his first loose tooth. He is excited and nervous.
I was just curious as to what amount the tooth fairy leaves at your house. I remember getting a quarter, but a friend of mine said the tooth fairy left $20 for her kid!!!
Maybe I should start pulling some teeth :rotfl:

Funny, my DD just lost another tooth last night and she got $20 from the tooth fairy. Every family is different. I know she has friends who get a silver dollars, quarters and we are the only ones that has the high stakes tooth fairy visiting. :lmao:

DS just lost another one on Friday. We usually give hi 5 gold dollars. The funny thing is he fell asleep Friday night and forgot to put his tooth under his pillow. He got up and said mom the tooth fairy didn't leave me any gold.

We gave $20 for the first tooth(that's all we had), all the ones after that have been whatever we have that's $5 or less- we never have cash on hand. LOL One time we had no cash- and ;)AHEM... recycled the $5.00 that was in her bank. We're not proud of that- and I hope my Dis friends won't flame me too much. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

:lmao::lmao:That is HILARIOUS!:lmao::lmao: My DD was telling us last night that she probably wouldn't lose her tooth then...but of course she did and I tried to tell her to put it under her pillow tonight, she wouldn't, so we had ti heist $20 from her sisters recent birthday money (and I can replace it tonight).

:lmao::lmao::lmao:At least I'm not the only one- when we took her out to spend her money in her piggy bank- we did let her spend $5 more than what she had. :rotfl:

My kids got $5 for their first tooth then whatever we had handy after that. Basically we tell them the tooth fairy leaves home with a certain amount of money each night. How much each kid gets depends on how many houses she has to visit that particular night because she has to divide it evenly between all the kids that night. hence the varying amounts from tooth to tooth.;) That covers us since we never know how much we'll have on hand for small bills.

One night my poor DS7 had two emergency tooth extractions (evening before we left for Disney) and the tooth fairy left him $20 for those.

I guess the tooth fairy on our route has had some problems with her stock portfolio, too, because she only leaves $1 gold coins. Of course this makes my son think she rides the subway. (the ticket machines give gold $1 coins) Of course, condidering her financial problems, that would make sense! :thumbsup2

This Tooth Fairy used Disney Dollars! Kids loved it and they come in different denominations with different characters. They like to collect and still have there favs at almost 16!

My kids got $10 for their first tooth and then $5 for the rest and if the tooth had a cavity they got nothing................

My niece got $20 once. But that was only cus the tooth fairy didn't get his wallet out untill he was in her dark room and though he left her a $5 :rotfl:
She was pretty excited the next morning, her mom :scared1: not so much.
