What time is rope drop for toon town?

Can you still wait by the train station in Toon Town for rope drop or do you have to wait at the one by the tea cups?

I'm *hoping* on being at Toon Town for rope drop and going immediately in to see the fairies..

Which way will be faster? Do they let one down before the other?

Julie

Ok..last August we waited by the train station in Toon Town..we went down that back path behind Space Mountain. Are you saying you cannot wait there any longer??

Does it open early on EMH morning?

I looked at the time on the WDW site for the day we are going for AM EMH, ToonTown does NOT open early, still 10AM. Not sure if your date is different though.

It always* lists the 10AM open time.

But, Toontown always* opens before 10AM.

(*"Always" however, is a relative term at Disney.)

See now, the poor folks that don't know about DisBoards will show up at 10 and be disappointed!;)

I was fully prepared to go to the train station rope drop..soooooo glad I asked. Just googled it and learned that they closed it...why????? Is it because of the mad rush to the fairies? LOL

You can do that, but not if you want to be the first ones into Toontown. RD from the Fantasyland side will be around 9:45. The other side won't be until 10.

I think they were trying to control the stampede to Pixie Hollow when they did this shortly after the attraction opened.

Some days this is crazy busy at RD. Other days not as bad. Some days you can get in during the day with under a hour's wait. Others you cannot. My point is that it is ALWAYS busy, somtimes crazy busy, sometimes just regular busy...

It's a very popular attraction because the fairies are really interactive. But they only take in 2 or 3 groups at a time. It's funny, but the same people who post that they love the personal, unrushed attention are the same ones who complained about how slowly the line moved... :confused3

Bingo.

Well, we'll just try and if it's under an hour, we'll do it. I don't wait in line for an hour for anything. My kids just cannot tolerate it.

I'm also not a "runner knocker-downer" person. That drives me nuts! I just like to be well informed and being so has served us well in the past.

So, do they still have the classic characters in there or is it now just princesses and fairies?

Julie

I know someone who was there last week and was there one day and there were only a few people waiting for RD. She was back a couple days later and it was crazy busy. They do "walk" you back, but be sure to park your stroller in Fantasyland if you have one.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but no more classic characters in the tent. Only pricesses and fairies (Did I really just type "ONLY princesses and fairies"???)

We were just there last week. Where is Pixie Hollow.? It was 60 min. wait line to see the fairies in the tent and this was at 11 am.

Does it open early on EMH morning?

On most AM EMH days, when the park opens for on-site resort guests at 8AM instead of 9AM, Toontown opens at its usual 10:00AM (9:45AM) rope Drop.

On very special (busy holiday times) AM EMH days, when the park opens for on-site resort guests at 7AM instead of 8AM (the park's "regular" opening time is moved an hour earlier,) Toontown will open an hour earlier, too.

If you have a stroller, it's important to park it in Fantasyland and not Toon Town if you're doing Rope Drop. While the other Rope Droppers are parking their stroller, you'll walk straight into the line. Again, the Fairies are very interactive and take time with each child, which is great once you get there - but obviously makes the line move slowly.

We've only been in there once and it was a couple of years ago. At that time, you could get your picture with Mickey - is that not the case anymore?

We were there a couple of weeks ago. We got to the rope at 9.30 and were the second family to do so. Rope droped at 9.45 and we were walked up by castmembers....we have no stroller so we were the first in line to see tink!:)

One thing though...I actually found it very rushed with the fairies themselves...I Tried to get in conversation with them and include DD but I felt rushed...it was just quick photo..autograph..now move along. I was disapointed as I'd heard the interaction was great.

Mickey is still there.
He's found in the Judge's Tent.
