Toontown question

Thinking of going to TT on a Sunday (non MTTMM) so we have an equal shot as everyone else. What time is best to get there - right at opening or can we sleep in a bit?

TT usually opens later than the main gate. About an hour later I think. Not sure if it's this way everyday though, but that's always been the case when we're there. It gets pretty busy. We were there on a light attendance weekend recently and TT was still super busy. It's nice to go when it first opens so you don't have to wait around for everthing. There isn't a whole lot to do though. The roller coaster line can get long, so I'd do that first. Rober Rabbit can get long also, but there is a fast pass. Everything else is designed for the kiddos to run around and play with. Lots of good photo opportunites. Knock on doors, step on man hole covers, etc. They're very fun. Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Chip & Dale are wandering around sometimes. There is also Mickey's house and Minnie's house. Those lines can also get very long when Mickey and Minnie are there to take pics. You'll take your pic at the front door of the house and then enter the house to check it out. Lots of fun stuff to see inside. Also keep in mind there is not much shade in TT. Plenty of places to sit and wait for the kiddos to play, but if it's a warm day I'd go in the morning.

TT opens an hour after normal park opening. So if the park opens to all at 8 (after having a Magic Morning at 7 on a Sunday), TT will open at 9. I would be there probably 15 minutes or so at the gates of TT, in the "stroller brigade", so you're getting in earlier than the main masses.

So if you don't have MM and you have no interest in riding anything before TT, I'd plan things so you're at the back of the park, at those gates, 15-20 minutes before TT opens. Give yourself enough time to get back there! And...maybe stop for a FP for something on your way in, b/c Roger Rabbit (as far as I know) is still disconnected from the rest of DL, and you can get a FP for it even if you hold another whose time has not come yet.

If it were me, I'd probably still get to DL's gates early for park opening, get a coffee and goody from the bakery, experience Main Street, run off to Space, Splash (FP queue is allll the way near the actual entrance to the mountain/line), or BTMRR to snag a FP, maybe ride Small World if the line is moving quickly (and it usually does), then get in line at the TT gates!

TT fills quickly and gets HOT quickly. Definitely best to experience it early. I'd probably snag FPs for Roger Rabbit, rush over to the little coaster if you want to ride it, get in line asap b/c of that line. Go through Minnie and Mickey's houses, get some autographs/pictures. Then play around to your heart's content, exploring all the little things they made in the area.
