Too Young for RSR?

My middle daughter was 4 1/2 and it was too fast for her, but she had that same opinion for just about anything faster than rides like Pirates or Small World :-D

I definitely think it depends on the kiddo though! Between my 3, I had one who loved fast rides and dark rides but not fast & dark rides, one who loved dark rides but not fast rides, and one who hated dark rides but loved fast ones. Haha!

I'd say so. That is where we started. It takes off fast though so when my kids hated it.... I still tortured my son with Bug Thunder thinking he would like it better with the slower build up. Nope.

It would be great if we could show him a ride and say "do you want to try it?" But with his delays, I just don't see that being possible really. I mean, maybe he'll get there by next year but who knows.

I wonder what the best FIRST faster ride would be to try. Gadget's maybe?

This is what I start my kids on. My 3.5 year old rode Gadgets last June and loved it. At the time he wasn't tall enough for RSR, but he will be this June when we go. I am expecting the inside Frank part will scare him a little, but that ultimately he will love it. He's a huge cars fan and is already talking about riding it.

Yeah, Gadget's is a great first coaster. My daughter (still age one - she's tall) rode it last trip. And loved it I wish she was tall enough to ride RSR, she's really into Cars right now (just had a "Mater party" for her second birthday last week). RSR will be the first 40" ride that I take her on (well, that or Big Thunder) when the time comes.
