Too specific theme for pin collection?

Hi everyone,

My husband and I are headed to the World Jan 19 for our first pin trading trip. I have about 25 pins to trade that I have gotten from Ebay, Mousepins, Disneyshopping etc. In order to try and keep my collection "under control", I had picked the theme of "Disney Couples". When my husband and I were married, we named the tables at our reception after Disney couples, so its quite sentimental.

I had planned on trading primarily with Cast Members, but I am wondering how hard it will be to find pins that fit the theme on their lanyards? I'm especially wondering how hard it will be to find non-Fab 5 or Princess couples, like Pongo & Perdita. Just to clarify- I'm not looking for just Cast Lanyard Series pins, I just plan on taking anything that fits the theme from their lanyard.

I have changed our schedule in order to make it to Scoop's seminar at Expo Hall, but we won't be able to make it to a Pin Trading Night on Thursday or Friday.

Any thoughts?

You should have no problem finding pins fitting your theme. Go to pin pics.com and type in some of the couples (e.g. Pongo) in the search box and you will see what has been released over the years. Especially with Valentines day coming up there should be plenty to buy. Also go to Dizpins.com and click on the hyper to the pins being released this month and next month to get an idea of what should be on the racks. If you have difficulty finding something that's been released for a while, go to DAK and the Island Merchantile store in front of the Tree of Life. This is normally the last place to sell out of something.

You might want to see what you can find for a couple of days (it will be a challenge) and if you're not having any luck, broaden your horizon.

If you stick with it and have fun chatting with all the Cast Members you never know what you will find on those lanyards! I know we have found some fantastic pins that are in our collection. Hope you have good luck with the trades and a lot of fun on the hunt!
