It would depend on lots of factors for me BUT two years ago my DS went in March and we returned in May..........and he said that we went back too soon.........that it took some of the excitement/magic out of it. I will try not to go back that soon again OR not do the same parks......but if you were there for 14 days I am guessing you did it all.

ps I voted one time per year, but had years where we went 3 times.....we go AT LEAST one time per year, but most years has been more.

Not at all! We went in early June, early October and then again in late Nov/early Dec. And I'm going on a Moms only trip on Jan. 7th! :)

If you can swing it, I say go for it! Have fun!

I agree with disneymama. We went four times last year, including a long weekend trip over the Cloumbus day holiday, and again for a week in early November. Besides, there will be very different decor during the Christmas Holidays at the World. Enjoy if you go!

I don't think it's 'too soon', but I do think you'll have a very different experience during the Christmas season than you did in October. The parks will be shoulder-to-shoulder, the lines will be enormous, and the ease you had in getting around in October will be gone. Want dining at a nice restaurant on site? Forget it!

I'd wait, if you have that option. Even the end of the first week of January will be MUCH better. It sounds like you had a really magical holiday and I'm guessing it will feel much less so (beautiful decorations not withstanding). If you can go with the idea you'll just wander the parks, enjoy the decorations and special events, and do very few attractions it may be worth going (if you can find a place to stay). But if you want the same sort of experience you had in October, it's not likely to happen during Christmas week.

yeah I am affraid of it just being too busy! where else do you take kids on vacation, I am looking for some ideas. I want to go to bahamas but my son (7) only wants to go to disney or las vegas lol

LOL about Vegas! Talk about the first place a 7 year old SHOULDN'T go! :earboy2:

We've been having the same discussion here. Just don't want to bother with the madness at Disney over Christmas but it's hard to think of another place that's not going to be busy, too. We might opt for staying local and doing some of the area's holiday events, going to a sporting event and keeping things family friendly and stress free.

Does your general area have an indoor waterpark hotel? Are there any holiday happenings worth seeking out near where you live? It's not Disney, but it's not spam-in-a-can, either! :teeth:

I Say Go Whenever you Get the Chance! We went in July and October of this year and now we are going back in January. Each trip is a different expierence for us. We make new goals each trip to keep it exciting. In October, our mission was to focus on all the things that we didn't do in July. We usually find ourselves skipping the small stuff and it was surprising how many things we had NEVER done! We found some great new expierences and I am looking forward to finding more in January!

While I voted for going once a year, I have to admit to going 4 (almost 5) times in a 12 month period. We were there for Thanksgiving '04 (and were there in August '04), then went again for a week in mid-June as a family. DD and I went again for a 5 day visit in August, then I just got back last week from a solo trip. Do I think it was too much? Maybe a bit. I wouldn't go as a family more than once a year...it takes some of the anticipation away. But going by myself was so different that it almost didn't count.

I would go without giving it a second thought if finances permitted. Going to Disney, two, three, four or five times a year would never be overkill for me. If it were not for the job situation I would move down in a heartbeat. We go twice a year now, there were times we went 3/4 times a year, but as of now we have cut down to twice a year. Just came back after a week from the day after Thanksgiving through 12/3 and have done nothing but think of going back. Planning on April/May and our usual Christmas time the day after Thanksgiving for a week plus next year adding on a 3 day Disney Wonder Cruise. It will be our first and I just can't wait. Whatever you decide have a great time and a Merry Christmas

Go Go Go!!!!!!! I was just there at the end of October, and will be going back in January. One can never have too much of a good thing!!! I also find that my visiting often, I can "relax" and take it all in, rather than run around like crazy trying to see everything all at once!!

WHAT????

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc It's NEVER too soon for a return trip to Disney!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Its never to soon!!!I went in January for a girls weekend, 3 weeks over the summer , 10 days in October and we leave Friday for a quick weekend with no kids. I am really excited!!! Do what you want, you only live once and you can't take it with you!!!! :rotfl:

We did Oct then Christmas several times. This is the first year in awhile that we didnt and I really missed the Oct trip! It is so different at Christmas it is well worth the short turn around time.

Last year we went the end of Feb, 1st of March (2005) with a big group. We got annual passes then. Becuase we were able to get a great deal at PORS the end of April and 1st week of May we went back. :goodvibes 8 weeks between trips.

Both trips were great. However that May trip was one of the best ever. We had so much fun and were so relaxed and laid back becuase we had just been there and the whole trip was a bonus anyway. We also took a side trip to Vero beach and had fun there too.

So that year we wer in WDW for at least a few days in Feb, March, April and May. That was a record for us. :goodvibes

Now this is not normal for us. We normally go every year or so, sometimes more, occaionally a little longer in between.

I was there in Oct. and am going back the end of January and also Oct. 06 and maybe a short trip sometime in the spring. It's never to soon!

DH and I took the kids at the end of September for a week, then DH and I returned for a solo trip the beginning of November for my birthday. It was nice because we did the stuff we didn't get to do with the kids. But I have to admit I am disneyed-out for a while. Last time before our trip in September was January.

I also have a DS (7) who I was going to take for a mom/son trip in April for his 8th birthday. We have a 7 night DCL planned next Sept. along with 3 nights at the park which he knows about. He didn't want to go to WDW for his birthday. He wanted to go to Splash Lagoon, the local indoor waterpark.. He said , Mom, we go to WDW at least once a year, we never go to Splash lagoon, go figure.

It all depends on you and your family. If they're all willing and want to... GO! But like others have said, I would avoid Christmas.

I am so lucky to live an hour aways, so I go 2-3 times a month on my days off. It isn't too often, I get to really enjoy the small things or just ride Buzz over and over and over and over again.
