It looks like the new Space Mountain in Japan….Yeah, the space cruise ship from c1990 crash landed next to Aulani.

100% agree. I know island/garden is a gamble but we’ve been lucky with views and I feel like I’m buying a cheaper lottery ticket (that has already paid out a couple times) whereas a lot of the OV rooms are what I would consider partial ocean view and I would be frustrated to get them after paying for a premium view category. A lot of OV are definitely much better than IV, but going in with IV helps keep my expectations lower. To be fair the only rooms at Aulani I trust to have an actual good ocean view are the Grand Villas, otherwise I feel like it's a pretty big gamble for the amount of points being paid for OV. I'd personally rather do I/G or Pool![]()
Yiiiiiikes! I don’t even like the look inside Tomorrowland and I seriously doubt it looks any better during a stroll along the crescents. It looks like the new Space Mountain in Japan….

Those slides look pretty fun though. I could see getting a day pass for one day. Of course, that depends on if there is some shade to cover the lines. The lines for the Aulani pools seem to be designed to give people sunburns….One other thought: it looks like the worst possible design (very tall, huge, right up against the ocean, extending back close to Ewa tower) from the perspective of the views of the I/G and even OV rooms on that side of the Ewa tower (contrasted with the Four Seasons side; where the tower is tapered and not that large generally, with a lot of lower structures around it).
I thought about that also, the Atlantis in the Bahamas is much prettier, IMO.Weirdly, it looks nothing like the Atlantis in the Bahamas that already exists. I had assumed that they were franchises of the same company, but maybe they're not?
If they were, you would think the Atlantis company would want some kind of sight recognition to what already exists.
Agreed.. the theming of the other Atlantis would be really cool to have nextdoor.. even if I'm not staying there it'd be really nice to explore and shop/try out their restaurants. This one looks really corporate in comparison. Regardless of what it looks like though, if they have a day pass for their water park I'll purchase it lol.I thought about that also, the Atlantis in the Bahamas is much prettier, IMO.
This is the one that saddens me most. We love the tiny beach there.
It’s good to be honest with ourselves, lol. I’m sure we’d purchase the waterpark day pass at least once per trip for several years as well (though the Bahamas one is really pricey!)— it might be great if AUL did not offer a reciprocal option, but could be a nightmare if Disney decided to start selling AUL day passes to nearby resort guests in exchange.Agreed.. the theming of the other Atlantis would be really cool to have nextdoor.. even if I'm not staying there it'd be really nice to explore and shop/try out their restaurants. How will this negatively impact that? Just more people and development? This is the one that saddens me most. We love the tiny beach there.
Yeah. This concept art seems very similar to the new concept art for multiple of the new proposed resorts coming to Vegas, such as the resort that's going to house the A's stadium. Not sure that's a good thing that Oahu is trying to look like Vegas...Agreed.. the theming of the other Atlantis would be really cool to have nextdoor.. even if I'm not staying there it'd be really nice to explore and shop/try out their restaurants. I'd be tempted to maybe do 1 to 2 nights at Atlantis and the rest of the time at AUL tbh if they don't offer the day pass. I really don't need the water park during the whole stay of my trip as my wife isn't exactly a strong swimmer and we love the lazy river and beach at AUL just fine. With the decreased nights at AUL could even consider upgrading to the next room category up but we'll see if this place ever comes to fruition. It’s good to be honest with ourselves, lol. I’m only lukewarm on the waterpark and we eat well enough at AUL + 4S+ Marriott for our typically 4-6 day stays so I don’t really care about getting more chain restaurants, but if they build a nice adult only pool (with day access) that actually overlooks the ocean, they can have all my money.
#EarnedNotGivenWith respect to the title: Too soon? Respectfully disagree because it took me like a day to went through the 40+ pages haha
