Too scary for 22 month old?

DS definitely had a fear of the rides of that age. Here is a list of rides that we would do that he could tolerate. Most of these are really tame. He definitely would not do HM (still hasn't at age 4) and quite a few other rides. I know he is/was particularly disturbed about a number of rides, and other children his age in general do better, but in case you need a list of pretty tame rides, here's what I can think of:

Indy Speedway
Swiss Family Treehouse
Tom Sawyer's Island (a HUGE favorite)
Pooh (but was iffy at that age)
it's a small world (VERY iffy for him at that age)
Country Bear Jamboree
Mickey and Minnie's House
Disney railroad
Jungle Cruise (sort of do-able)
Carousel of Progress
Dumbo
Aladdin Carpet ride
Astro Orbiter
Pepole mover (or whatever that thing is called in tomorrowland)

EPCOT
country movies - he did very well (Canada, China, France)
The Land
Turtle Talk with Crush

HS
Disney Playhouse
Muppet Movie (if scared, they can take off 3d glasses, that helps with DS)
Animation Tour
Walt Disney tour (forget the name)

AK
Dino playground
Triceratops Spin
Nemo Show
Bird show
Lion King (a bit intense--dark and loud at times)
Safari
Train ride to the conservation station

I tried to take my son on the HM and got through the stretching room and that was the end of that. He looked terrified and I couldn't go any further. Of course he was 1 at the time...Regardless, I'm sure it depends on the child.

My DD went on everything with no problem when she was 2, fear set in when she was 3.

When my girls were 2 and 5 they absolutely hated HM. I felt like such a bad mom for taking them on it. We didn't even try POC after that experience. We may try again now that they are 5 and 8, but I'm not convinced it's worth the trauma. I'd be more inclined to try POC before HM, for what it's worth. Good luck and have fun!!
