Too Much SNOW!

This is truly awful! I'm not sure how much snow is out there but my best guesstimate is over 2 FEET!!!

All the trees have their branches nearly touching the ground. There are huge drifts and last night we lost our electricity twice. The longest time was about 45 minutes.

It just seems so unfair (like Mother Nature is ever fair  ) after last winter's mess. It's only December for crying out loud.

Can you tell I'm not a fan of snow? And this storm just goes on and on. It's still snowing and isn't suppose to stop until late this afternoon.

I need to watch my Disney vacation videos and dream of warm weather.

WOW!!!!

We have some snow, but not that much!

Yuck! I can't believe that it's STILL snowing here!!! We can't open the door to our deck because the snow is too deep. My friend & I were SUPPOSEWD to go to a holiday house tour today but I'm betting it's cancelled. A.C. Moore is having their moonlight madness sale tonight (25% off your total order) and I'm supposed to go with another friend and I'm not sure if they will cancel it. Not major things I know, but I REALLY wanted to do them! (pout, pout)

I'm just hoping that we don't lose power. It will be bad enough for us humans, but my birds won't be able to handle the cold. The cats will just find some place warm.

Where are you in MA? I am in the SE in Mendon.

Jill

P.S. I looked at your kitties and they are so beautiful!!!! :) I am also a lover of cats and we have two 15 yo girls named Allie & Schmoo.

I feel your pain!

We only got 11 inches but we are south of the Mason Dixon line. I hope this isn't an indicator of another winter like last year's.

Isn't this crazy?!?! It has been snowing here in RI since about 5:30 Friday afternoon and it has not stopped! There is no place left to put the snow. Is it May yet?!?!?!?!

No snow in Miami, but its a balmy 47 degrees!:duck:

About two feet here as well - and it is still snowing :earseek:

Just came in from trying to clear the driveway & cars.

YUK :( Can't wait until we leave for Disney!!

Probably! I saw on the news that Northern NJ got 13 inches! I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad I don't live there any more! :earseek:

I know how you feel! I'm close to Brockton and we have too much snow!! I just came back from WDW on Friday and I want to go back! I wish I planned my trip for this week. My son and dh just came in and said that both shovels broke. They only shoveled out one car! Looks like I'll have to stay in all day and snuggle on the couch!

In my opinion, there can NEVER bee to much snow.

We have close to 2 feet here too (I think, can't really tell because of drifting) and it's not supposed to stop until after midnight.

I hate the snow too, but the Maine spring, summer and fall makes it worth it. I'm trying to look at the bright side though. Even though we don't have a choice, it sure is great family time. And thank God we have a driveway to shovel and heat for our homes.

Snow?? What's snow??? My DD(6) asked yesterday if she could go somewhere where it snowed and my eyes lit up! DH looked at me and said, "She doesn't mean the bubbles they blow at MGM, she means real snow." Darn, I thought I was so close!

My parents are in Taunton and they're reporting 24"... We got 30" in Natick. I"m ready to go outside with my hairdryer and try to melt some of it. :)

LOL 2tinksmom! Yeah we only got about 15 inches and I am ready for summer or spring already. Only thing that looks nice is we do up our yard.....yeah I am the house that lights up the rest of the street! We have people stopping and looking at it every night really cool! We have Pooh and Minnie as well as tons of other stuff and lights but have never been able to find Mickey or the rest of the gang! No, we don't have any of those huge blow-up things either. Just good old fashioned plastic and a ton of lights! Pixie dust and warm thoughts to melt all the snow to all.

Tell me about it. I DANCED across Huntington Ave. here in Boston last night because there was no one on the roads. For some strange reason, I actually walked to the hockey game. It was worth it though, cause my boys FINALLY won (we haven't been so great this year).

Whenever we leave for the dining hall we joke about walking through the frozen tundra. The first night was cool with the snowball fights in the Fens, but its too much now.
