Too Much Information??

Our first cruise, I thought I was prepared thanks to 4 months on the DIS boards. We had a wonderful, fabulous time, got Palo brunch/dinner, Surial bath and couples massage on Castaway. No let down whatsoever.

Our second cruise, I was even more prepared and laughed at the naive me thinking I was prepared for the 1st cruise. I made a schedule (ok, I'll admit it, I made *3* schedules, one for each dining rotation and ditched two of them in the terminal once we got our assignment) with EVERYTHING I thought I wanted to do (and the kids, etc.). I couldn't believe how many things I had missed from the first cruise.

Once we got on board, we did do a lot of those things (golf chipping contest for dh, wine tasting, galley tour, etc.), but my schedule got left on the vanity and we didn't follow it 100% - it was the best laid plans that became the stuff we felt like doing at the time.

Even with a list of EVERYTHING we thought we wanted, there were things we didn't know about, didn't do and things we missed. There is SO much to do. And not one single thing failed our expectations. We were never disappointed.

Guess that's why were booked again! LOL:hyper:

I am quite a detailed planner, so I spent many hours reading these boards in preparation for our first Disney cruise.

Did it kill anything for us? Absolutely not. If anything, it helped us have a nice, relaxing vacation because we already had an idea of what we wanted to do ahead of time (eat, sleep, lay in the sun and do some snorkeling). :fish: We had an awesome time and can't wait to try it again next year!

Disboards definitely helped me with planning and packing for our last cruise and has for our upcoming cruise as well. It's amazing what you'll forget over a couple of years.
I must say I was somewhat letdown on our last cruise but just for the first couple of days. My mom is a travel agent and had raved about cruises, especially DCL, so much I had built it up so high there was no way they could meet my expectations. After a few days though I came to recognize the quality of what I was paying for and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I'm trying not to overplan our next trip. Just take it day by day and relax.:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
