Too much in one day?

Going on a 3 night (shortest trip to Disney World I’ve ever taken) and I’m trying to fit in a few new things while there but also take time to enjoy the resort/pool more than usual. We’ll have 2 park days - a one day hopper and one Halloween party ticket.

I’m interested in starting out in Epcot, going on the new Test Track, Spaceship Earth, and possibly Ratatouille - then taking the boat to Hollywood Studios for The Little Mermaid show and catch the Villains show. Have lunch at Sci-Fi and then head back to our resort (Wilderness Lodge). Rest for a bit and then head to Magic Kingdom (should have extra hours that night) to do a handful of favorites, have dinner at Tony’s (yes, I know, but we love the atmosphere) and see the new light parade. Doesn’t seem like too much but I’m trying to think of whether or not I’ll need to get lightning lane for the day - we won’t have a huge advantage with a 3 day trip but I’ve loved it every time I’ve used it.

Are the shows hard to get in? It seems Villains runs all day continuously but I’m not sure about The Little Mermaid.

Sound easy enough? Too crazy? We’ll go to MK at 4pm the next day but once the party starts we’ll probably only do Haunted Mansion as far as rides are concerned - we’ll stay on Main Street for the entertainment.

Are you sure it’s MK with the evening hours? In August, several weeks have it at AK instead of MK because they anticipate large demand for the new parade. I was at WDW beginning of June. Didn’t have an issue getting into Villains or Little Mermaid (did have to wait for a show cycle)

Idk about extra hours but I think your plan is plausible even with a normal evening close at MK. I would rope drop your morning & consider SR for Remy.

I have to look into lightning lane and how it works with a park hopper too - we didn’t park hop on our last trip back in February.
With LL I believe all initial selections have to be in your first park but once you tap in for the first, you can make subsequent selections at any park that you would hop to.

We have a similar idea of party + 1 day hopper. I feel like your commute back to WL will eat up a fair bit of time. I'm personally banking on those Wed EEH being at DHS by the end of Sept lol. According to the historical hours source I checked, they seem to switch over on that last Wednesday of September.

In all seriousness, in a vacuum it isn't that crazy but I'd have an easy day before and after for sure.

With the introduction of the new parade and MNSSHP/MVMCP. I would be extremely surprised if they offer EEH in the MK after Aug 13th (last MK announced to date) until 2026. This is purely a guess but once party season begins plus the new parade, I'd be surprised if they add in EEH at the MK too.

Be sure to plan your DHS time well. We waited close to an hour for each the LM and Villains Show. When we went back by the Villains show because I forgot to take pictures by posters the wait at 5 pm was for the 7 pm show aka 2 hours. Both are going to be very popular for awhile.
