HI ALL! WE ARE PLANNING A 1 WEEK STAY AT WILDERNESS LODGE VILLAS AROUND THE FIRST WEEK OF MAY '04. (MY HUSBAND, ME & OUR 10 YEAR OLD BOY). IT WILL BE OUR FIRST TIME, AND WE MAY NOT GET BACK AGAIN FOR A FEW YEARS.

I'D LIKE TO START OUT AT MK, THEN A DAY AT EPCOT, A DAY AT DISCOVERY COVE, MORE TIME AT MK, AND A DAY AT UNIVERSAL.

WILL THIS BE TOO MUCH?

I'D APPRECIATE ANY AND ALL ADVICE. THANKS!

BARBARA

It doesn't sound like too much to me at all. You can spend an entire day at MK and an entire day at Epcot. What about MGM and Fantasmic. I'm sure your ten year old would love Tower of Terror and Rock 'N Roller Coaster. I've heard Discovery Cove is fabulous! Have fun planning your trip.

Mommybear, Hi and welcome to the Disboards! How fun to be planning your first trip!

Is your plan possible? Yes, I think it is! I think if that is what you really want to do, you should do it. I understand that you may want to get in as much as possible if you won't be able to go back to the WDW area for awhile.

I can say, however, that there is so very much to do within the walls of WDW that you will barely touch the surface with your plan. We first took our DS to WDW when he was 6. We are heading back in Jan for our 5th trip (DS is now 10), and we have not seen everything that WDW has to offer, nor have we stepped outside of its' confines yet. We plan to hit Universal and Discovery Cove, but have decided to wait a couple of years, when we feel our DS will get into the scarier rides at Universal.

You might want to consider 4-5 overnights at WL (been there and it is a great resort, BTW!), concentrating on the WDW parks you want to while staying on property, and then move over to one of the Universal resorts for 2-3 nights, such as the HRH, and then concentrate on the other parks.

Whatever you decide to do, I hope your first trip is a magical one!

You might want to look into staying at a Universal Hotel for the Universal/Seaworld portion of your trip. Universal has a front of the line access policy for hotel guests. I've never done it, but it sounds like it would be worthwhile from the people I know who have done it.

Your 10 yr old will love IOA and Universal. Make sure you do Spiderman, the best ride I have ever been on.

When I went to Discovery Cove a couple years ago, it came with a week's pass to Sea World. If that's still the case, make sure you schedule time to hit that park, too -- especially if it's already included in your Discovery Cove package!
