Too much food now??

My trip was initially booked without the meal plan. Since we are driving from canada I had ordered breakfast groceries to be delivered to our room as a cost saver on OOP meals. I was also packing one snack each per day and juice/pop to drink.

I was able to switch my reservation around and now have "free" dining. Now I'm thinking we will have way to much food. I won't bother bringing drinks. What about the extra snacks? Too much? I know it's only one QS meal/day so keep my breakfast order?
I don't really want to be travelling home with tons of extra food, or worse ending up wasting money on unused stuff.
Any tips? Thanks

Well you don't need the pop now (cause you'll have the mugs) and you probably don't need extra snacks, but we always bring breakfast bars and boxes of individual cereals even when we are on the dining plan. When we get meals at our resort, we always make sure that the drink we get with our meals is milk so that we can use it in the morning with our cereal. We prefer to use our dining credits for lunch and dinner.

I suggest you keep the breakfast items and save credits for lunch & dinner. The dining plan only covers 1 snack per day, so consider how "snacky" you family is before eliminating all snacks from your order.

We've always done the DDP and we order from Garden Grocer as well. I would keep the breakfast order. As the PP mentioned you might not need the pop as you could get it from the food court with your mug. As for the snack credits I find they usually get used up at Epcot. We try to get a snack at each country sometimes we share, other times we each get one. Also if you have kids in your family leftover snack credits are great for getting them Disney candy. HTH

I understand that it's TWO QS/day PLUS you get a dessert with each of your meals, PLUS a snack option. This trip (Dec) will be our first time taking advantage of free dining, and I'm thinking that it's going to be more food than we've EVER had before. We like to do what you do and order breakfast and snack foods, we even add in lunch stuff and pack a lunch or eat in our room. Save us a TON of oop food expenses. I think that you would be fine with your breaksfast foods. :goodvibes
